About the Role

Overview The Insights product is a new offering for Guidepoint's Institutional investment and corporate clients, that offers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events. The teleconferences live in a transcript library portal, which covers a wide of industries/topics that enables our clients to make informed decisions. All content features experts from Guidepoint’s proprietary global network and is conceptualized and hosted by former investment professionals (i.e., private equity/hedge fund), sell-side equity research analysts, and industry professionals. Visit Insights team biographies at <a href="https://www.guidepoint.com/insights/#team">https://www.guidepoint.com/insights/#team</a> What You'll Do: Content Creation and Research Coverage: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitor a coverage universe of public and private companies within the TMT sector in Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). You will cover the sector across multiple asset classes and structures.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Track key industry trends, material news flows, earnings releases, investor presentations, research in key coverage markets.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Identify and maintain a robust pipeline of company and industry specific topics — generate original ideas for discussion, covering business updates, event studies, channel checks, hot topics and other investment narratives</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Create and moderate teleconferences on the pipeline featuring an expert from Guidepoint’s network with the goal of producing actionable insights for clients</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Review teleconference transcripts to ensure quality of content. Summarize key discussion points</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist the external translation agency that the meaning of the teleconferences held in Mandarin are properly captured in the English version</li> </ul> Process Management: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure Guidepoint compliance policies and protocols are adhered to</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Exhibit ‘ownership’ for the call by vetting experts’ relevance to Insights Teleconferences and ensuring their profiles’ accuracy.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Work with research teams to identify and recruit additional industry experts to our Expert Network; Manage and further develop relationships with both experts and clients</li> </ul> What You Have: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">3+ years of work experience at a financial services or research firm with a focus on</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">IME sector. Coverage or Knowledge of Global Markets will be a plus</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Understanding of the institutional buy-side / sell-side research and investing workflows</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; Effective time</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">management and organizational skills</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team; must be</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">willing to train and mentor junior professionals</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
