About the Role

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an Intern to join the Rising Pioneer Program as part of our Software Product Management team.  Over the course of this 10-week program, interns will gain tangible, hands-on experience and insight into our business operations. After 3 days of orientation and training, you’ll join our Software Product Management team, where you’ll be assigned projects with unlimited opportunity for challenges and achievement. We have, very often, considered our interns for post-graduation roles within the company.  What you’d be doing:  <ul> <li>Learn and network with employees, leaders, and other interns during an on-the-job experience. </li> <li>Potential to earn college credit. </li> <li>Provide research and analysis support on ad-hoc projects. </li> <li>Fulfill tasks and project assignments set out by team leaders. </li> <li>Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from knowledgeable SageSure professionals. </li> <li>Support Software Product Managers in gathering, documenting, and organizing business and user requirements. </li> <li>Assist with developing product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation used to support software development. </li> <li>Partner with stakeholders across Software Engineering, Design, Operations, and other business teams to better understand customer and business needs. </li> <li>Support product discovery activities, including user research, competitive research, data analysis, and identification of opportunities for product improvement. </li> <li>Assist with prioritization and planning activities by helping evaluate business needs, customer impact, and available data. </li> <li>Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, product demonstrations, and retrospectives. </li> <li>Help track product initiatives, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items. </li> <li>Analyze product usage, performance, or customer feedback to identify trends and provide insights to the product team. </li> <li>Assist with testing new features and functionality to help ensure solutions meet documented requirements and user needs. </li> <li>Develop presentations and other materials to communicate product updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders. </li> </ul> We’re looking for someone who has:  <ul> <li>Is currently enrolled in a relevant degree program with a focus on Business, Product Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date in 2028. </li> <li>Has strong written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. </li> <li>Demonstrates strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. </li> <li>Has an interest in technology, software products, and understanding how customer and business needs translate into product solutions. </li> <li>Is comfortable working with data and using information to identify trends, ask questions, and support decision-making. </li> <li>Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li> <li>Is curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions and bringing forward ideas. </li> <li>Is able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. </li> <li>Has the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member. </li> <li>Is authorized to work in the United States. </li> </ul> Highly preferred candidates also have:  <ul> <li>Prior internship, project, or relevant professional experience. </li> <li>GPA of 3.0 or higher. </li> <li>Exposure to product management, software development, business analysis, or project management through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities. </li> <li>Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies. </li> <li>Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar collaboration and analysis tools. </li> <li>Experience conducting research, analyzing data, or presenting recommendations based on findings. </li> <li>Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle. </li> <li>Experience working on cross-functional team projects. </li> </ul> Software at SageSure:  Originally founded as a software and analytics business, SageSure's proprietary technology has always been a key source of competitive advantage.
