We are committed to maintaining our agile, entrepreneurial culture while attracting and developing exceptional talent.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Job</strong></p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">&nbsp;</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">We are looking for an Insurance Finance professional with IFRS 17 experience to join a growing finance team in Kuala Lumpur.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">If you have experience in insurance accounting or financial reporting, have worked with IFRS 17, and are comfortable supporting financial close and reporting activities, we'd be keen to hear from you.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The position can be considered at Senior Analyst or Manager level, depending on your experience.</p> <h3>What You'll Do</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Manage or support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close activities.</li> <li>Prepare and review insurance accounting entries, reconciliations and financial reports.</li> <li>Support IFRS 17 accounting and reporting activities.</li> <li>Analyse balance sheet and P&amp;L movements and provide commentary on key variances.</li> <li>Support statutory, management and regulatory reporting.</li> <li>Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Risk and other stakeholders on accounting and reporting matters.</li> <li>Support internal and external audit requirements.</li> <li>Review accounting treatments and maintain appropriate financial controls.</li> <li>Contribute to process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives.</li> </ul> <h3>What We're Looking For</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Experience in<strong> </strong>insurance accounting, insurance finance or financial reporting.</li> <li>Knowledge and practical exposure to IFRS 17.</li> <li>Experience with financial close and reporting activities.</li> <li>Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.</li> <li>Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.</li> <li>Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.</li> </ul> <h3>Good to Have</h3> <p class="isSelectedEnd">These are advantageous, but <strong>not mandatory</strong>:</p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>IFRS 9 knowledge or exposure.</li> <li>Reinsurance accounting or reporting experience.</li> <li>Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or ICAEW.</li> <li>Experience in a multinational insurance environment.</li> <li>Exposure to finance transformation, automation or process improvement.</li> </ul> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Don't tick every box?</strong></p> <p>If you have a solid insurance finance/accounting background and experience with IFRS 17, we'd still like to hear from you.
