Genea has been recognized as a Top Workplace in 2021-2025, with a rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Glassdoor.</p> <p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p> <p>The Meter Reader will&nbsp;accurately read and record commercial electrical, water, and gas meters for billing purposes using a smart phone (Android or iPhone).&nbsp;The meter locations are in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. Schedule will be 30-40 hours for one week, monthly. Starting pay $25.00 per hour.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform meter reads on commercial electrical, water, and gas Will also perform re-reads&nbsp;when necessary&nbsp;</li> <li>Clear photos of meters must be taken</li> <li>Readers should notate and/or inform management of any issues or changes that occur</li> <li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures such as wearing Personal Protective&nbsp;Equipment&nbsp;and reporting all safety concerns&nbsp;</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned by management</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum&nbsp;High School Diploma, GED or&nbsp;technical background preferred&nbsp;</li> <li>Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: Valid Driver’s License, with a clean driving record, the ability to pass a pre-employment background check.&nbsp;</li> <li>Personal vehicle will be used for travel to different sites. Mileage reimbursement will be provided at the standard IRS rate (72.5 cents per mile as of January 1, 2026).</li> <li>Employees in this role are required to provide and use a personal cell phone for work-related duties.
