<p>VERG Brooklyn is looking for an experienced <strong>Veterinary Technician</strong> to join our growing <strong>Internal Medicine</strong> team.</p>
<p>In this role, you’ll work closely with our internists to care for patients with complex medical needs. You’ll assist with advanced procedures, provide hands-on nursing care, and help clients feel informed and supported throughout their pet’s treatment.</p>

<h2>What You’ll Do</h2>
<p>As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you’ll support appointments, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and ongoing patient care.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities may include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, including GI, nasal, and airway scopes.</li>
<li>Supporting advanced imaging and other diagnostic procedures.</li>
<li>Placing IV catheters and assisting with endotracheal intubation and anesthetic induction.</li>
<li>Preparing, cleaning, and maintaining specialized scope equipment.</li>
<li>Monitoring patients and providing attentive nursing care throughout their visit.</li>
<li>Gathering patient histories and communicating updates to the Internal Medicine team.</li>
<li>Reviewing discharge instructions with clients and teaching at-home care, including subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections, and feeding tube management, as directed by the veterinarian.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating with other departments to coordinate patient care.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What You Bring</h2>
<p>You have strong veterinary nursing skills, close attention to detail, and an interest in complex medical cases. Internal Medicine or other specialty experience is preferred.</p>
<p>You’re someone who:</p>
<ul>
<li>Provides compassionate, attentive patient care.</li>
<li>Is confident with IV catheter placement and comfortable assisting with anesthesia and advanced diagnostics.</li>
<li>Communicates clearly and kindly with clients and coworkers.</li>
<li>Stays organized while managing multiple patients and priorities.</li>
<li>Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li>
<li>Is eager to learn and continue growing in specialty medicine.</li>
</ul>
<p>This position follows a <strong>four-day, 10-hour shift schedule</strong>. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.</p>
