If you are a self-motivated individual with great work ethic and the personality to help with customer satisfaction, then we would love to meet you!</p> <p>As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for the performance of work within a particular work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the crafts</p> </div> </section> <section class="styles--3vx-H" data-ui="job-requirements"> <h2 id="job-requirements-title">Requirements</h2> <div> <p>To be qualified for this job, experience in Concrete, Sealants, Roofing, or Masonry is a must.&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <ul style="margin-top: 0in; margin-bottom: 0in;" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Residential or commercial experience is a must.</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Assists the various craftsmen in the performance of their work within a particular construction work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the craft</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Experience in the work tasks of concrete repair including small and large patches on horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces, epoxy and urethane injection, carbon fiber reinforcement, grout pocket patching, post tension repairs and concrete sealing..&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Lay brick, block and stucco.</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Perform additional general masonry and sealant duties.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Supervises workers assigned to area of responsibility to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications and meets quality standards</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Acts as the competent person on the job by identifying existing and predicable hazards which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees and halting any operation or removes employees from environments that may be dangerous</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">May mix cement, using hoe or concrete mixing machine</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Rigging of mobile and stationery scaffolding on structures in accordance with corporate guidelines</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman's tools and equipment</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Perform other routine duties as directed by craft worker</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">May remove rough or defective spots from concrete using grinder, hammer, and/or chisel. May patch holes</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Supervises &amp; coordinates the activities of assigned workers, establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules, and communicates progress to superintendent</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Ensures that workers know and understand the company's safety policies</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;">Maintains liaison with customer's representative and advises superintendent and/or project manager of potential problems.</span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div> </section> <section class="styles--3vx-H" data-ui="job-benefits"> <h2 id="job-benefits-title">Benefits</h2> <div> <p>Western offers a competitive wage. We provide medical, dental and vision insurance with the company paying over 80% of the premium. A $10,000 Life insurance and $10,000 Accidental death and dismemberment benefit is provided and is 100% company-paid. Generous 401k plan.
