<h3><strong><span data-contrast="auto">The role</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></h3>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="219" data-local-id="de82a677e8c5">The <strong>Field Structured Cabling Senior Technician</strong> is responsible for managing and controlling structured cabling activities on-site, ensuring installations are completed according to approved designs, specifications, and project schedules. This role serves as the main field interface between the design team, project managers, contractors, logistics, and vendors.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="582" data-local-id="d00d6c97c2cd">The position is field-focused and plays a key role in translating design drawings into accurate, well-executed cabling installations while maintaining proper change control and documentation.</p>
<p>You’re also welcome to work on-site at our office in <strong>Amsterdam</strong>, <strong>the Netherlands. </strong></p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="800" data-local-id="da8f5e5eec33">Coordinate and control structured cabling activities from early project stages through deployment completion.</p>
</li>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="913" data-local-id="c3c65b1ae7f2">Supervise and direct external contractors, including planning and controlling cable pull schedules in alignment with Project Managers and other infrastructure teams.</p>
</li>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="1082" data-local-id="411fd5a8ee8c">Ensure cabling installations follow approved DWG drawings, specifications, cable routes, and quantities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1190" data-local-id="90043ffe3378">Track cable pulls, routes, and completion status; document progress and any deviations.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1281" data-local-id="e69b1cdc96d9">Apply minor layout updates directly in DWG files when required; escalate major design changes to the Structured Cabling Design team.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1417" data-local-id="f0f50ec5d381">Oversee installation of cable tray and containment systems based on project timelines and priorities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1522" data-local-id="d5ab53a63d91">Maintain accurate field documentation and update tracking spreadsheets or deployment systems.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1619" data-local-id="631b2dbec590">Support as-built documentation by ensuring all field changes are captured.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1697" data-local-id="206e8240cd48">Coordinate with logistics teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery, handling, and staging of cabling materials, including large palletized deliveries.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1854" data-local-id="61e92a7f9f81">Act as the on-site point of contact for structured cabling-related coordination and issue resolution.</p>
</li>
</ul>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="1987" data-local-id="5bcbf7ca2aff">2–3+ years of relevant field experience in structured cabling or telecommunications.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="2075" data-local-id="d652052264cd">Proven hands-on experience with structured cabling deployment (fiber and copper).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="2160" data-local-id="79e59a49ed34">Strong knowledge of fiber-optic infrastructure, including:</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="2404" data-local-id="9012a6eed6d1">Experience supervising or coordinating contractors and field teams.</p>
</li>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="2475" data-local-id="5bac546ff71c">Solid understanding of cable pathways, tray systems, and routing best practices.</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="2814" data-local-id="e1c9f2988011">Understanding of and hands-on experience working in data center environments, including operational, safety, and access requirements.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="2951" data-local-id="f0b7e5994de4">Basic knowledge of network topologies and how structured cabling supports network and IT infrastructure.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="3059" data-local-id="1dd26e197410">Hands-on experience working as part of a cable pulling team.</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="3123" data-local-id="bd0a0890889b">Experience with high-density fiber environments and large cable volumes.</p>
