Lead Maintenance Technician (High- Rise Lease-Up) at Comstock

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can perform preventative maintenance and respond to work orders efficiently and professionally. A strong commitment to customer service, clear communication, and a polished, resident-first attitude are essential in maintaining our five-star living environment.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide Class “A” customer service – building a good rapport with residents and going above and beyond whenever possible</li> <li>Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of property both interior and exterior</li> <li>Protect and assist in improving the value of the client’s assets</li> <li>Perform PM on unit based and building level equipment</li> <li>Perform emergency on-call service in a rotation order&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting</li> <li>Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors</li> <li>Make ready units for new move-ins</li> <li>Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement</li> <li>Maintenance Technician for a minimum of 1 year</li> <li>CFC Universal Certification preferred&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems required</li> <li>Class A experience preferred</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook required</li> <li>Building automation systems experience a plus</li> <li>Yardi experience a plus</li> <li>Current driver's license without major violations</li> <li>Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build strong relationships</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure</li> <li>Ability to respond to others’ needs in a timely and courteous manner</li> <li>Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed including on-call rotation&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to arrive at property location within 45 minutes to respond to emergencies</li> <li>Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity</li> <li>Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence</li> <li>Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation</li> <li>Must be customer-focused and results-oriented</li> <li>Must want to continuously learn and develop</li> <li>Exceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to establish strong working relationships with others in team setting&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Self-directed and able to work independently, with minimal supervision</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></p> <ul> <li>Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reach</li> <li>Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds</li> <li>Continuous repetitive motions</li> <li>Work under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), under variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, around fumes and/or hazards, around dust and/or mite hazards, around chemicals and bio-hazards</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>Compensation:<strong><br></strong>- Competitive Salary with Bonus Potential<br>- Generous Benefit Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Match, Life Insurance<strong><br><br></strong>Career Development<strong><br>-</strong> Opportunities for Advancement within our expanding portfolio<br>- Annual Professional Development Funds to fuel your growth<br><br>Employee Perks:<br>- Employee Discount for added benefits<br>- Enjoy a Friendly Work Environment that values collaboration<br><br>Additional Benefits:<br>- Explore more perks and possibilities for growing your career with Comstock Companies!
