This senior-level role requires an experienced leader capable of managing high-risk, high-value projects while mentoring teams and advancing technical excellence across the company. This position will be responsible for full project lifecycle management—from planning to execution to closeout—while acting as a subject matter expert and strategic partner in regulatory, technical, and business development initiatives. Next up: a contract negotiation with a key client, where your understanding of scope, risk, and value sets the tone for long-term success. You might spend your afternoon working on a project recovery plan or running a working session with PMs across the region to align on technical performance improvements. By the end of the day, you’ll probably review financial reports, prep for a go/no-go evaluation, or contribute to a proposal for a major new opportunity. <hr> We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:   <ul> <li data-start="2463" data-end="2561">Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, engineering, construction management, or a related field.</li> <li data-start="2564" data-end="2652">15+ years of progressive experience in applied sciences, engineering, or construction.</li> <li data-start="2655" data-end="2707">10+ years of direct project management experience.</li> <li data-start="2710" data-end="2788">Proven success managing complex, multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.</li> <li data-start="2791" data-end="2936">Strong command of project controls, including Opportunity Charters, PM Plans, Risk Registries, and MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).</li> <li data-start="2939" data-end="3038">Demonstrated ability to plan, budget, and deliver projects on time, on budget, and in compliance.</li> <li data-start="3041" data-end="3134">Skilled in financial reporting—budgets, revenue forecasting, margins, and percent complete.</li> <li data-start="3137" data-end="3217">Experience negotiating and managing contracts with clients and subcontractors.</li> <li data-start="3220" data-end="3282">Deep technical expertise in one or more specialized domains.</li> <li data-start="3285" data-end="3387">Experience using PM tools and software as a central part of your communication and planning toolkit.</li> <li data-start="3390" data-end="3483">Familiarity with evaluating regulatory, technical, and financial risk for go/no-go decisions.</li> </ul> What Will Make You Stand Out   <ul> <li data-start="3558" data-end="3622">PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.</li> <li data-start="3625" data-end="3682">Advanced degree or professional license (e.g., PE, PG).</li> <li data-start="3685" data-end="3770">Experience influencing regulatory policy at the state, regional, or national level.</li> <li data-start="3773" data-end="3888">Demonstrated leadership of regional or national initiatives to improve project delivery or technical performance.</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="4071" data-end="4119">You Will Thrive in This Role If You...</h3> <ul> <li data-start="4122" data-end="4188">Lead with clarity and confidence, even when the stakes are high.</li> <li data-start="4191" data-end="4266">Know how to motivate and mentor teams across disciplines and geographies.</li> <li data-start="4269" data-end="4385">Communicate with purpose—whether you're briefing executives, coaching a junior PM, or negotiating with regulators.</li> <li data-start="4388" data-end="4456">Anticipate obstacles and solve problems before they become issues.</li> <li data-start="4459" data-end="4565">Think both strategically and tactically—keeping the big picture in mind while executing with discipline.</li> <li data-start="4568" data-end="4643">Take accountability seriously—for the work, the people, and the outcomes.</li> <li data-start="4646" data-end="4716">Care deeply about building resilient environments and resilient teams</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">Please note that the “Day in the Life” section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of job duties, but rather a representative snapshot of typical responsibilities and work experiences at RES.
