DevOps Engineer at Dark Wolf Solutions

<p><strong>Dark Wolf</strong> is looking for a <strong>DevOps Engineers</strong> who are interested in working in a fast-paced environment building and maintaining a DevSecOps Platform as a Service (PaaS) for a DoD customer. The successful candidate will work within the team to develop and maintain multiple Kubernetes-based PaaS solutions at different classification levels, automate deployment of services, provide and develop documentation, and monitor security and performance of the platform and deployed services. Our DevOps engineers are asked to solve challenging problems for unique customers and have a direct impact on the direction of software products and solutions used by those customers.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deploying and maintaining critical services supporting both on-prem and cloud-native architecture.</li> <li>Working with the Cybersecurity team by implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.</li> <li>Using automation best practices, such a IaC and GitOps, for repeatability and fast provisioning of environments.</li> <li>Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platforms in multiple environments and classification levels.</li> <li>Working closely with development teams to provide onboarding support.</li> <li>Ensuring platform and networks are compliant with DoD policies.</li> <li>Supporting backup and disaster recovery planning.</li> <li>Understand platform usage, anticipate developer needs, and expand capabilities to improve the developer experience.</li> <li>Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Mid Level Required Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years configuring, deploying, maintaining, and securing Kubernetes platforms</li> <li>5+ years of relevant experience administering Linux servers (ex. RHEL, Ubuntu)</li> <li>5+ years with CI/CD automation servers (ex. GitLab CI, Jenkins)</li> <li>Experience with administration of Linux endpoints (clients)</li> <li>Experience with providing Identity Management services including SSO using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field</li> <li><strong>US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance required</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Senior Level Required Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years configuring, deploying, maintaining, and securing Kubernetes platforms</li> <li>10+ years of relevant experience administering Linux servers (ex. RHEL, Ubuntu)</li> <li>10+ years with CI/CD automation servers (ex. GitLab CI, Jenkins)</li> <li>Experience with administration of Linux endpoints (clients)</li> <li>Experience with providing Identity Management services including SSO using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field</li> <li><strong>US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance required</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with CI/CD automation servers including GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI</li> <li>Experience working with OCI containers, containerizing applications, container networking, and container runtimes (Docker, cri-o, containderd)</li> <li>Experience with deploying and maintaining CNCF products to on-prem or cloud environments</li> <li>Scripting experience including at least a subset of the following: Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible</li> <li>Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP</li> <li>Experience with artifact repositories (ex. Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus)</li> <li>Experience and/or familiarity with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Neuvector, PrismaCloud/Twistlock</li> <li>Experience with immutable filesystems</li> </ul> <p>This location is located in Omaha, NE. The compensation for the mid level role is estimated to be approximately $120,000-$140,000 commensurate on experience. The compensation for the senior level role is estimated to be approximately $140,000-$160,000 commensurate on experience.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are strictly looking for direct, full-time W2 employees.
