Systems Administrator at GRVTY

<p><strong>What Impact You’ll Have:</strong></p> <p>GRVTY is seeking Systems Administrators to support Department of Defense/IC missions at Fort Meade, MD. You will be responsible for Linux Systems Administration while supporting IC missions that are vital to our national security.</p> <p><strong>What You'll be Owning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).</li> <li>Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.</li> <li>Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.</li> <li>Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.</li> <li>Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.</li> <li>Apply patches and upgrades.</li> <li>Troubleshoot server issues.</li> <li>Administer customer accounts</li> <li>Deploy monitoring tools.</li> <li>Deploy applications and tools.</li> <li>Assist with escalated customer tickets.</li> <li>Installation and cabling of equipment</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Must Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Active TS/SCI with polygraph (polygraph must be within last 6 years)</li> <li>10 years of systems administration experience OR technical bachelor's degree + 5 years of systems administration experience</li> <li>Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)</li> <li>Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository</li> <li>Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)</li> <li>Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus</li> <li>Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi)</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Would be Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Syslog/NxLog</li> <li>Nagios or other similar monitoring applications</li> <li>Scripting experience (Python/Perl)</li> </ul> <p>#LI-PS1</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p></p> <p><strong>Pay Range:&nbsp;</strong>At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors—such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.<br>We’re proud to offer a work environment that empowers our team to achieve a strong work-life balance.
