This order of magnitude increase in speed is transforming the user experience of AI applications, unlocking real-time iteration and increasing intelligence via additional agentic computation.</p></div><h3>About The Role</h3> <p>The Senior Operations Accountant will be a key contributor to the Finance and Operations teams, reporting to the Senior Cost Accounting Manager. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who excels in fast-paced environments and can derive insights from complex manufacturing and inventory data. You will support the end-to-end execution of cost accounting and fixed asset processes.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <h4>Cost Capitalization &amp; Inventory Accounting</h4> <ul> <li>Execute monthly inventory reconciliations and post all related journal entries.</li> <li>Perform calculations for inventory rebates, wafer manufacturing yield losses, and monthly facilities allocations.</li> <li>Accrue and capitalize freight and tariff costs on a monthly basis.</li> <li>Ensure proper inventory classification across Raw Materials (RM), Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).</li> <li>Support the coordination of physical inventory counts with Operations and external auditors.</li> </ul> <h4>Fixed Assets &amp; Capital Expenditure</h4> <ul> <li>Manage the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation runs.</li> <li>Track and account for internal deployments of inventory to Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE).</li> <li>Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate classification and useful life assignments in accordance with GAAP.</li> <li>Monitor Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounts and ensure timely capitalization of completed projects.</li> <li>Support the audit of fixed assets, including periodic physical tagging and verification of equipment.</li> </ul> <h4>Manufacturing &amp; COGS Analysis</h4> <ul> <li>Analyze Finished Goods movements to ensure accurate accounting for COGS and RMAs.</li> <li>Review COGS transactions for completeness and perform gross margin flux analysis.</li> <li>Capitalize manufacturing overhead and operational costs to ensure accurate variance analysis.</li> </ul> <h4>Audit &amp; Cross-Functional Support</h4> <ul> <li>Prepare schedules and provide documentation for internal and external audit requests related to inventory, cost, and fixed assets.</li> <li>Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to validate inventory movements and system accuracy.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li>Certification: CPA or CMA preferred, with strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory costing methodologies, and fixed asset accounting.</li> <li>Experience: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing, hardware, or infrastructure-intensive environments.</li> <li>Systems: Strong proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling).</li> <li>Attributes: Ability to work with high volumes of unstructured data and a desire to optimize processes in a high-growth environment.</li> </ul> <h3>Additional Information</h3> <ul> <li>Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid: 3 days per week in-office)</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h4><strong>Why Join Cerebras</strong></h4> <p>People who are serious about software make their own hardware.
