This is a greenfield opportunity to establish the manufacturing finance function from the ground up, before production volumes ramp, and serve as a true thought partner to the business on the cost, capital, and operational decisions that will define how True Anomaly manufactures. You will start as an individual contributor and build a team around you as the function grows.  RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Own the financial planning, forecasting, and cost structure for all production operations including manufacturing overhead rates, facilities, capital expenditures, procurement, and manufactured and actual bill of materials, translating long-range plans into bottoms-up forecasts that reflect true manufacturing economics </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary finance partner to manufacturing, supply chain, and facilities leadership providing financial counsel, challenging assumptions, and ensuring business decisions are grounded in cost reality </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Establish the processes, tools, and governance frameworks that underpin manufacturing finance at True Anomaly including procurement oversight, capital spend controls, and production cost tracking </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Partner with Supply Chain on purchasing process and financial governance, ensuring high-value procurement decisions are made with appropriate financial rigor and visibility </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop and manage manufacturing overhead rate structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with cost accounting standards </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Partner with FP&A and Program Finance to ensure alignment between production economics and enterprise financial planning </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Build and lead a team of manufacturing finance professionals as production volumes and organizational complexity grow </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Support pricing and proposal efforts by providing accurate and defensible production cost inputs for new business </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Lead financial analysis supporting vertical integration decisions, including build vs. buy trade studies, ROI modeling, and investment justification for in-house manufacturing capabilities </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on capacity and supply-demand planning, providing financial modeling and analysis to support production throughput decisions and resource allocation </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>8-12 years of finance experience with significant ownership of manufacturing, production, or operations finance </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience building financial infrastructure for manufacturing or production operations, processes, tools, and cost frameworks </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures including overhead rates, bill of materials, production variances, and capital expenditure planning </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience partnering closely with supply chain and procurement on financial governance and purchasing controls </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Familiarity with facility finance, capital planning, and the financial mechanics of scaling a production environment </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong FP&A foundation: bottoms-up forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis in an operations context </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to serve as a credible, direct thought partner to operational leaders; comfortable having hard conversations with the business </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing experience strongly preferred </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience at a high-growth or early-stage company a plus </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field </li> </ul> PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE <ul> <li>Prior experience in a manufacturing finance role, ideally in a scaling production environment</li> <li>Working knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and ERP cost accounting</li> <li>Experience managing finance analyst</li> <li>Familiarity with government contract cost accounting (FAR/CAS) and program based reporting</li> <li>Experience partnering with accounting on month end close, COGS, and inventory reserves</li> <li>Strong excel modeling skills with BI tools a plus</li> </ul> COMPENSATION <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Base Salary:  $130,000 - $200,000</li> </ul> <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="1">Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave </li> </ul> Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <ul> <li>Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA.
