The school is a true community success story that has transformed the lives of thousands of students and their families, while breathing life back into a city that was once one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant manufacturing suburbs.&nbsp;</p></div><h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Job Summary:</span></h1> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Activities Coordinator will play a critical role in improving school climate by ensuring the school creates and maintains a positive learning environment and a culture of high expectations. The Coordinator will support the implementation of PBIS to reinforce positive behaviors, celebrate student success, and foster a safe, respectful, and responsible school community. The Activities Coordinator will also work with staff to model expectations during recess, lead the way for impact through structured play, and support all staff and students during these times. In addition, the Coordinator will help design, teach, and facilitate music and art programs that provide students with creative outlets for self-expression, build confidence, and strengthen school culture. The Coordinator will collaborate with staff and community partners to ensure these programs and activities are engaging, inclusive, and aligned to the school’s mission.</span></p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Essential Functions:</span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Foster a positive school climate by promoting a culture of high expectations, respect, and inclusivity.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support the implementation of PBIS to reinforce positive behaviors, track progress, and celebrate student success.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Delivers pre-developed PBIS lessons.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Delivers SEL lessons through Move this World platform.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Supports academic reinforcement through facilitating activities such as Math Games, Read-Alouds, Spelling/Phonics Games.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Facilitates Creative &amp; Arts-Based Activities such as art projects, crafts and design challenges.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Facilitates Classroom-Friendly Games &amp; Movement activities.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Facilitates community building activities such as Morning Meeting/Circle Time,check-ins, gratitude sharing, or team-building games.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Facilitates Performing Arts &amp; Expression activities such as Reader’s Theater, Poetry Reading and/or Talent Share.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with staff to model and uphold behavioral expectations during recess and structured play.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Lead and facilitate safe, engaging, and inclusive recess activities that encourage student participation and positive peer interactions.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Design, teach, and facilitate music and art programs that promote creativity, self-expression, and confidence among students.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with teachers and staff to integrate creative and recreational activities into the overall school culture.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with community partners, musicians, and artists to expand enrichment opportunities for students.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure all activities and programs are accessible, inclusive, and aligned to the school’s mission and values.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, belonging, and leadership development.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitor, evaluate, and adjust activities and programs to best support student growth and school climate goals.</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Qualifications &amp; Minimum Requirements:</span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, levels of education, economic resources, and experience;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with the PBIS framework</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">FBI Criminal Background Clearance</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Physical (within past year)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">TB Test (within past 3 months.
