We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to support our South Region team, a crucial role geared towards the design and management of transportation infrastructure projects, mainly for TxDOT. This individual will be integral in steering our team towards the delivery of exceptional schematic designs, PS&E, structural plans, and precise cost estimations. Only candidates located in Texas will be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. </div> </div> </div> <h3 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">What you will do:</h3> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Oversee the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Supervise load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Mentor engineering team to use current engineering design software to complete designs.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer / Drafters on project.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Develop engineering budget and schedule to support project management.</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <h3 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">What you will bring:</h3> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Texas PE license is required.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as PGSuper, WinCore, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MicroStation, spColumn, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare etc.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li> </ul>   Benefits You Will Love Certified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
