The ideal candidate will have prior renewable, development, or construction experience and the ability to take the initiative in completing tasks in a time-sensitive and high-quality manner. This role includes significant responsibilities and room for growth within the company.    Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Process high volumes of A/P invoices through Stampli across multiple related legal entities, ensuring proper entity allocation, approvals, supporting documentation, general ledger coding, data entry, and payment processing; identify and resolve vendor account discrepancies </li> <li>Periodically compare vendor terms with activity to ensure the most cost- and time- effective payment methods and timing are being used </li> <li>Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to obtain and verify W-9s and payment instructions, including ACH, wire and BillPay information, and complete required phone verification of vendor banking details </li> <li>Set up and maintain new vendors in NetSuite and applicable banking platforms, ensuring accurate and complete vendor information </li> <li>Process company credit card transactions through Stampli, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and general ledger coding </li> <li>Manage the annual 1099 reporting and filing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.  </li> <li>Assist with compliance issues related to accounts payable processes (W-9, sales and use tax, etc.) </li> <li>Serve as a liaison between Plus Power and more than 300 vendors, addressing billing, payment, and account-related inquiries and issues </li> <li>Review project-related expenses for appropriate approval and work closely with project management teams to process invoices and ensure timely payment </li> <li>Update, verify and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project contract accounting requirements and internal controls </li> <li>Assist with producing periodic financial reports and ensure reported results are accurate and comply with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). </li> <li>Support the management of external relationships, as requested, including accounting firms, banking partners, investors, insurance brokers and bonding agents </li> <li>Prepare accounts payable-journal entries, ensure accurate general ledger coding and support the monthly close process </li> <li>Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted </li> <li>Generate reports detailing accounts payables status </li> <li>Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements </li> <li>Assist with supplying documentation for annual audits, loan draws, etc. </li> <li>Support investor reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, as requested </li> <li>Develop, implement and effective and efficient internal controls, policies, procedures and workflows to safeguard company assets and promote accurate financial reporting </li> <li>Other projects as assigned </li> </ul> <span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559685":720,"335559740":259,"335572071":0,"335572072":0,"335572073":4278190080,"335572075":0,"335572076":0,"335572077":4278190080,"335572079":0,"335572080":0,"335572081":4278190080,"335572083":0,"335572084":0,"335572085":4278190080,"335572087":0,"335572088":0,"335572089":4278190080,"469789798":"nil","469789802":"nil","469789806":"nil","469789810":"nil","469789814":"nil"}">  Skills & Qualifications  <ul> <li>BA/BS in Accounting or Finance </li> <li>4+ years’ relevant work experience in an accounting department  </li> <li>Current experience in renewable energy, power and utilities, or construction preferred </li> <li>Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel along with macro-writing capabilities, pivot tables, and data queries </li> <li>Working knowledge and experience with Stampli, NetSuite or similar software </li> <li>Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail </li> <li>High degree of business acumen, discretion, and professionalism </li> <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, colleagues and internal stakeholders </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with team members who are geographically dispersed  </li> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining aligned with company and department objectives </li> <li>Proven ability to stay connected and maintain communication across distributed teams in hybrid or remote settings  </li> <li>Strong desire and demonstrated ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and assume increasing responsibility </li> <li>Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results </li> </ul>   Compensation, Location, and Benefits Highly competitive total compensation from one of North America’s leading energy storage developers, owners, and operators, along with market-leading health benefits, 401(k) match, generous paid parental leave, flexible time off, work from home stipend, and other programs designed to support employees and their families. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic labor market, and other factors consistent with applicable law.
