<h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Some recent/ongoing projects include:</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Delivering platform security for major enterprises applying security best practices to help our customers with Rubrik as a last line of defense</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Developing a platform for protecting relational PaaS databases across clouds. </span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">As a <strong>Staff Software Engineer</strong>, you will play a key role as a technical leader—driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and delivering highly scalable distributed services. You will work across teams to solve complex technical challenges and ensure Rubrik continues to set the industry benchmark in data security and protection.</span></p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></span></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead the design and development of cloud-native services for backup, recovery, and security of workloads.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Own and drive end-to-end initiatives from architecture to production deployment and scale.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture teams to define and evolve the technical roadmap.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Guide engineers on best practices for distributed systems, scalability, and resiliency in cloud environments.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Evaluate new technologies, design patterns, and frameworks to continuously improve system performance and reliability.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Mentor and coach engineers, raising the technical bar for the entire team.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot complex customer issues across cloud and hybrid deployments.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Champion automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native observability for high-quality releases.</span></li>
</ul>
<h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Experience you’ll need</strong></span></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent with strong problem-solving skills.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">11+ years of experience in building large-scale, distributed enterprise or cloud-native software.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong fundamentals in distributed<strong> systems, and cloud-native design</strong>.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Deep expertise in programming languages such as <strong>Java, Go, or Python</strong>.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience with <strong>public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)</strong> and their native services.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Solid understanding of <strong>Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and event-driven architectures</strong>.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven track record of <strong>leading technical design/architecture discussions</strong> and shipping scalable, resilient systems.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience mentoring engineers and driving cross-team technical initiatives.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Exposure to <strong>storage, backup/recovery, security, or observability systems</strong> is a strong plus.</span></li>
