As a leader in transmission-scale and community-scale solar and storage, Cypress Creek seeks a diverse group of innovative and purpose-driven thinkers and doers from all backgrounds.  The Role  Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a highly motivated candidate to lead the monitoring and the day-to-day operation of a rapidly growing portfolio of utility-scale PV & storage facilities. The Lead Control Center Operator will support individuals responsible for continuous real-time monitoring and control of Solar Facility safety, reliability, and output.  The candidate will be trained in the essential knowledge and skills necessary to monitor and operate utility-scale solar generation facilities.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Assist Control Center Supervisor in leading the team members responsible for 24/7 monitoring and operations of numerous solar & storage facilities. </li> <li>Assist in the training and continuous improvement of personnel and processes utilized within the control center. </li> <li>Coordinates staff to ensure proper execution of job responsibilities of the individual and proper execution of company objectives. </li> <li>Assist with inclement weather incident response.  </li> <li>Respond to DAS Alerts, and abnormal facility conditions via remote operations and alert appropriate parties. </li> <li>Act as point of contact for field technicians, remote plant operators, utilities, and operators regarding performance, control, and schedules for solar & storage facilities. </li> <li>Responsible for maintaining availability levels at each solar facility as well as following curtailment directives. </li> <li>Perform daily reporting of solar facility performance. </li> <li>Data analysis of underperforming systems. </li> <li>Aid field technicians with system troubleshooting and provide routine dispatch.  </li> </ul>  Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:  <ul> <li>A.S. or B.S. in a technical field of study. </li> <li>Knowledge of power generation design or operations. </li> <li>Knowledge of ERCOT Interconnection – ERCOT Trading. </li> <li>Knowledge of PV systems, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring. </li> <li>Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found via DAS. </li> <li>Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams. </li> <li>Proficiency with MS Office suite. </li> <li>Experience working with a CMMS platform (preferably for operations and maintenance of power generation facilities). </li> <li>Experience working with DAS. </li> </ul>  Other Requirements/Work Environment:  <ul> <li>Work is to be performed in an office environment. </li> <li>This position is hourly with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. 4, 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends.  </li> <li>Once a quarter, the lead operator is expected to work 3-4 Night shifts. </li> <li>Valid Driver’s License. </li> <li>Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables. </li> <li>Available to report for full-time work at our Control Center located at our Durham office. </li> </ul> Location: The preferred location for this role is Durham, NC.
