Carpenter at Thompson Thrift

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Thompson Thrift&nbsp;is seeking an experienced&nbsp;Carpenter&nbsp;to join our team full-time. This role supports a variety of construction and maintenance projects, using rough and&nbsp;finish&nbsp;carpentry skills to build, repair, and install structures across residential and commercial job sites.</p> <hr> <p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read work orders, prints, and sketches to plan jobs</li> <li>Estimate materials, time, and tools needed</li> <li>Build, dismantle, and repair walls, roofs, siding, trim, doors, windows, and more</li> <li>Perform framing, drywall repair, painting, basic MEP troubleshooting, accessory installs, caulking/sealing, and project reporting</li> <li>Use appropriate tools and lumber grades for each task</li> <li>Ensure jobsite cleanliness, tool maintenance, and safety compliance</li> <li>Support special projects and general facilities needs</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent experience</li> <li>5+ years of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial carpentry</li> <li>Proficiency with construction tools and safety protocols</li> <li>Ability to read drawings, take accurate measurements, and create basic sketches</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills</li> <li>Must provide your own basic hand tools (e.g. tape measure, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hourly Pay: $35.00*&nbsp;(commensurate with experience)</li> <li>Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance</li> <li>Generous 401(k) match</li> <li>Paid holidays and PTO</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands</strong></p> <p>This position requires mobility on active construction sites and the ability to&nbsp;lift up&nbsp;to 25 lbs.
