Events and Ministry Coordinator (Onsite, Volunteer) at Apartment Life

Specifically, they work with their Apartment Life supervisor to prepare a monthly schedule to serve through events and programming in order to meet the needs of each community. Programming can include engaging events, resident activities, welcoming new residents and acts of care. This role internally will be called<u> Coordinator of Student Services. </u></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>Important Details:</strong></div> <div> <ul> <li>The coordinator role is part time,<strong> 12 hours per week</strong> serving 1 community located in <strong>Athens, GA </strong>in<strong> April, 2026.&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>The coordinator will live Onsite at the community and the role is compensated with discounted rent.<strong> It is not a paid position. </strong></li> <li>The coordinator does not have to be a college student, however they do need to have a heart to support, care for and engage with college students as the community will have a high student population.</li> <li>The role can be completed during business hours, evenings and weekends.</li> </ul> </div> <div>We are seeking mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible<strong>&nbsp;</strong>coordinators who enjoy meeting new people, planning social activities, and helping people experience God's unconditional love. Coordinators get to partake in doing "business as a ministry" by faithfully weaving together excellence in business with loving their neighbors well.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Job Duties and Responsibilities</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li><u>Plan and host 2 events each month</u>&nbsp;for the residents in the apartment community with the purpose of caring for and connecting with residents, connecting residents to one another and to services or local businesses in the wider community</li> <li><u>Provide a caring touch</u>&nbsp;to residents and staff with the help of other residents and a network of community support</li> <li><u>Enhance online reputation</u> by inviting residents to share online about their experience in the community</li> <li><u>Develop marketing material&nbsp;</u>for the activities such as monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts</li> <li><u>Manage the event budget process</u></li> <li><u>Prepare monthly summaries</u></li> <li><u>Meet with staff and program director</u>&nbsp;for planning, equipping, and development</li> <li><u>Engage a support team</u>&nbsp;of volunteers, vendors, and other community partners to maximize impact</li> <li><u>Visit</u>&nbsp;new residents shortly after they move-in and/or residents who are near the end of their lease to connect with them</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-caption caps bold mb1">&nbsp;</div> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li> <li>Be legally eligible to work in the United States</li> <li>Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company</li> <li>Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors</li> <li>Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds</li> <li>Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home</li> <li>Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-caption caps bold mb1">&nbsp;</div> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li>Previous event planning experience</li> <li>Experience working within a budget</li> <li>Some relevant experience using social media</li> <li>Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-caption caps bold mb1">&nbsp;</div> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Additional notes regarding the application</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li>You may see a place to provide a LinkedIn profile or resume.
