The SPM reports to the AVP of social media and works closely with External Affairs, interdisciplinary project teams, a wide range of stakeholders, and other city agencies to social first content plans and ad campaigns. In addition, the SPM plays a key role in the implementation of the executive thought leadership strategy on social media, including social content for the President & CEO. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a passion for social media storytelling and data-driven marketing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collaborate with the social media director and social media managers to implement the social media strategy for their portfolio, aligning social media campaigns and multimedia storytelling series with organizational priorities.</li> <li>Write and publish engaging social media posts, ensuring brand voice consistency.</li> <li>Create content plans including video and graphics for channels underneath the NYCEDC umbrella.</li> <li>Create social media toolkits for stakeholders to use to support key NYCEDC announcements</li> <li>Develop and manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking</li> <li>Conduct A/B testing on ad campaigns to optimize performance.</li> <li>Stay current with social media trends and social media advertising best practices.</li> <li>Collaborate with the creative producer and marketing team to produce visually appealing content.</li> <li>Monitor social media channels, analyze performance data, and provide actionable insights for organic and paid social media content.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in social media management, with a focus on copywriting and multimedia creation.</li> <li>Strong writing skills with a portfolio showcasing creative and effective social media copy. Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).</li> <li>Proficiency using social media analytics tools to measure campaign performance.</li> <li>Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li> <li>Proficiency with digital multi-media tools (PowerPoint, social metrics, video creation, Canva, etc.).</li> <li>New York City resident (required within 180 days of hire)</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;">Portfolio submission is required.
