<p> <strong><em>As a Volunteer Coordinator you will:</em></strong></p>
<p>1) Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program.</p>
<p>2) Recruits, educates, and selects volunteers from at least three (3) recruitment sessions a year.</p>
<p>3) Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team.</p>
<p>4) Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.</p>
<p>5) Maintains monthly statistics.</p>
<p>6) Maintains current personnel files.</p>
<p>7) Reevaluate volunteer program, as necessary.</p>
<p>8) Coordinate support/education meetings.</p>
<p>9) Attends interdisciplinary group meetings.</p>
<p>10) Provides information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services.</p>
<p>11) Participates as needed in the budget preparation for program development.</p>
<p>12) Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.</p>
<p>13) Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities.</p>
<p> <strong>Position Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>1) College degree, advanced degree in human services preferred.</p>
<p>2) Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a health care setting. Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred.</p>
<p>3) Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services.</p>
<p>4) Understands hospice philosophy.</p>
<p>5) Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs.</p>
<p>6) Ability to manage a group of individuals providing volunteer time and who will be considered employees.</p>
