This role is ideal for licensed electricians, electrical technicians, maintenance electricians, and skilled trades professionals who want to combine technical expertise with teaching and mentorship. Work Schedule  <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Full-Time Schedule Options: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-start="91" data-end="191">Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-start="194" data-end="298">Afternoon/Evening Shift: Monday – Thursday, 1:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Teach electrical theory, wiring methods, systems, and troubleshooting in both classroom and lab settings</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Deliver engaging instruction aligned with industry standards, codes, and workforce expectations</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Instruct students on the proper and safe use of tools, materials, and equipment, emphasizing OSHA standards and jobsite safety procedures</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Create a positive classroom and lab environment that supports student engagement, collaboration, and retention</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Maintain and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and lab activities in collaboration with program leadership</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitor and document student attendance, academic progress, and performance in accordance with institutional guidelines</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Accurately enter grades, evaluations, and required documentation into school systems on time</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure classrooms and labs remain clean, organized, safe, and fully equipped, reporting maintenance or supply needs as needed</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Support student success through coaching, mentoring, and proactive engagement strategies</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Participate in required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings to remain current in instructional methods and industry trends</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Stay informed of industry advancements and maintain required certifications</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and safety regulations</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Program Coordinator or Campus Leadership</li> </ul> Required Qualifications  <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">High School Diploma or GED</li> <li style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade OR three (3) years of teaching experience in electrical or related programs</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong understanding of electrical tools, systems, codes, and safety practices</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on student engagement and instructional clarity</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Positive and professional attitude, with a commitment to student success</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications   <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">National Center for Construction Education and Research (The NCCER ICTP Certification is required before instructors start teaching classes.
