In this role, you will be the visionary architect who designs and builds our&nbsp;<strong>In-House Integration Engine</strong>. Your goal is to transform a high-friction, "custom build" into a streamlined, automated, "plug-and-play" partnership model. You will make our service invisible, automated, and indispensable to the lender’s systems. Banks and lending partners operate on fragmented, legacy Servicing/LOS environments that don’t support servicing for others, break when loans are sold or transferred, and rely on manual reconciliation across servicing, accounting, and data systems. In many cases, these systems depend more on institutional knowledge than actual design.</p> <p>You will operate as a <strong>hands-on architect</strong>, defining how Pagaya integrates into real-world bank environments - working across servicing, accounting, and data systems to turn fragmented, partner-specific builds into scalable infrastructure.</p> <h3><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></h3> <h3><strong>Architecture &amp; Solution Design</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design the blueprint for our <strong>Standardized Integration Layer</strong> that can "talk" to legacy cores (FIS ALS, Hogan, Jack Henry) and LOS/Loan Servicing systems.</li> <li>Build the logic for <strong>Automated Money Movement</strong> and <strong>General Ledger (GL) Synchronization</strong>, ensuring our service triggers the correct accounting entries in the bank’s system without manual intervention.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Productization of Connectivity</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Move us away from "one-off" custom coding. Develop a library of <strong>Re-usable Data Schemas</strong> and <strong>API Wrappers</strong> that map legacy bank data into our modern environment.</li> <li>Design the <strong>Reconciliation Engine</strong> that automatically validates file handoffs between our system, the Bank’s Data Lake, and third parties.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Strategic "Bilingual" Leadership</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Act as the primary technical bridge between our Engineering team and the Bank’s IT teams.</li> <li>Conduct "Technical Discovery" with new lender clients to identify gaps in their system setups and provide them with the "Solution Blueprint" they need to implement to work with us.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Operational Automation</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design automated workflows for complex lending lifecycle events: <strong>Account Buybacks, Holdbacks, Charge-offs, and Tertiary Collections.</strong></li> <li>Ensure all designs meet "Bank Grade" compliance, including BCP (Business Continuity), Fraud monitoring.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in lending (Personal Loans) working directly with (or integrating into) <strong>FIS ALS</strong>, <strong>Fiserv</strong>, or <strong>Hogan, large bank systems</strong>. You must understand how loan accounting modules actually work.</li> <li><strong>The Integration "Toolbelt":</strong> Expert knowledge of <strong>ETL patterns</strong>, <strong>API Gateway design</strong>, and <strong>Message Queuing</strong>. You know how to get data out of a mainframe and into a modern Snowflake/Data Lake.</li> <li><strong>Lending Domain Mastery:</strong> You don't just know the tech; you know the business. You understand <strong>Servicing for Others (SFO)</strong>, <strong>Investor Reporting</strong>, and <strong>General Ledger</strong> movement.</li> <li><strong>Problem Solving:</strong> You have a track record of taking a "hard-coded, messy" environment and building a clean, abstracted layer on top of it.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>servicing for others / subservicing models</strong></li> <li>Exposure to <strong>loan sales, secondary market, or loan transfers</strong></li> <li>Experience designing or supporting <strong>reconciliation across systems</strong></li> <li>Hands-on work with <strong>data mapping, data gaps, or reporting layers</strong></li> <li>Experience working in or modernizing <strong>legacy / hard-coded systems</strong></li> <li>Background in <strong>platform, infrastructure, or system implementation roles</strong></li> <li>Experience translating <strong>real-world constraints into scalable system design</strong></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why this role is interesting</strong></h2> <p>You aren't just maintaining a system; you are building a <strong>Competitive Advantage</strong>.
