Hybrid Hospitalist (Telehealth & Bedside) at Equum Medical

<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>Equum Medical is an Acute Care Telehealth company, enabling access to specialty care across a variety of clinical settings. We understand the urgent need for Acute Care Telehealth and the difficult challenges hospitals face filling gaps in coverage, improving the lifestyle of their on-site clinicians, and extending patient care in specialty areas.</p> <p>For over 10 years, Equum Medical has been staffing board-certified Critical Care Physicians in addition to APPs for select clients, with our clinicians averaging six years of tele-critical care experience in remote monitoring. We've enabled numerous hospitals and health systems to care for many patients, improve patient care, and deliver a positive financial impact.</p> <p><strong>General Overview</strong></p> <ul> <li>Will support a 150-bed hospital by managing remote cross-coverage and admissions as a tele-hospitalist, while also delivering night-time bedside care onsite in an LTAC.</li> <li>Round and manage 7-9</li> <li>On average 3-4 admission via telemedicine</li> <li>Answer calls and texts (secured messaging) on current and new patients admitted</li> <li>Support of other specialties as needed.</li> <li>Malpractice and tail insurance covered by Company’s provider.</li> <li>Nighttime shift from 7pm-7am requirements.</li> <li>Minimum requirement of 5 shifts per month.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>NJ license in good standing.</li> <li>DEA certificate in good standing.</li> <li>Applicable professional certification and licensure in good standing.</li> <li>At least 1 year of acute care experience.</li> <li>No sponsorship offered.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>Position is in a hospital or health system setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.</li> <li>Position includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Position includes prolonged periods of time standing and walking.</li> </ul>
