General Summary:

The Ecommerce Operations Specialist – Amazon is part of the EMEA eCommerce team and responsible for the operational execution and day-to-day management of KEEN’s Amazon business in EMEA. The role combines commercial analysis, operational ownership, and hands-on execution across order management, forecasting, vendor operations, and channel coordination.

The role ensures that product availability, order execution, and commercial priorities are translated into concrete daily actions. The person in this role acts as a connecting point between sales planning, digital operations, supply chain, the warehouse, and the Amazon account team – with a dedicated focus on operational excellence within KEEN’s Amazon 1P Vendor business in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management & Execution

Monitor and manage open Amazon purchase orders on a weekly basis, covering shipment timing, stock alignment, order confirmation, and required follow-up in SAP and Amazon Vendor Central

Execute bulk creation, allocation, merging, release, and adjustments in SAP for Amazon in line with seasonal forecasts, buys, and account-level priorities – in close collaboration with the other Ecommerce Specialist in the Amazon team

Handle ad-hoc exceptions as they arise: shortpick adjustments, order cancellations, manual interventions, and order-related issues such as delayed shipments, stock discrepancies, or missing packages – escalating where needed via the warehouse portal or internal channels

Forecasting & Planning Support

Support in-season (re)forecasting for Amazon: prepare and maintain forecast files, participate in S&OP meetings, and keep the open order book and documentation up to date

Prepare and maintain weekly outbound forecast visibility for warehouse and supply chain teams, covering Amazon

Actively monitoring incoming Amazon purchase orders versus available stock, preventing shortages, delayed confirmations, and fill rate issues before they become problems

Support pre-season order follow-up: track delayed purchase orders, handle SAP order entry, and escalate where timelines are at risk

Coordinate with our warehousing staff on Open Delivery Note updates, shipment consolidation, and delivery windows (Tuesday/Friday cadence, with ad hoc needs as required)

Amazon Commercial Operations

Support the Amazon Account Lead with seasonal Amazon Brand Store updates and deal events

Contribute to STR reporting and performance follow-up for Amazon, keeping account and commercial teams informed

Monitor and manage operational compliance within Amazon Vendor Central: confirm purchase orders within SLA, manage CPI claims, and flag exceptions to the account team in a timely manner

Support the New Item Set Up process on a seasonal basis for Amazon account, including new and carryover products

Documentation & Team Coverage

Maintain SOPs and operational documentation for Amazon, including process guides and onboarding materials, updated on a monthly basis

Act as operational backup across the broader ecommerce team where needed

Provide analytical input for business reviews, forecasts, and commercial decisions – proactively where you see an opportunity, not just when asked

We are looking for someone who:

Gets energy from operational complexity – multiple systems, shifting priorities, and a high-cadence vendor environment – and manages it with discipline and a clear head

Works with a high degree of accuracy and ownership. You flag issues early, follow through completely, and don’t wait to be asked

Is comfortable working independently within a small team. You know when to ask for alignment and when to just execute

Combines analytical thinking with day-to-day operational drive. You’re as comfortable building a forecast view as you are resolving a shipment exception

Can work harmoniously within a diverse, international environment, across a wide variety of people and every level of the organization

Is hungry to learn and eager to take on additional responsibilities as KEEN’s digital business in EMEA continues to grow

Maintains a high level of personal responsibility, accountability, and integrity

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, with a focus in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field

2+ years’ experience in ecommerce operations, order management, digital account support, or a related operational role

Strong Excel skills required. You work with data daily and do it well

Experience with SAP order management or Amazon Vendor Central is a must

Power BI or similar reporting tool experience is a plus

Strong analytical mindset combined with operational discipline

Fluent in English, written and spoken. German is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Occasional travel to visit customers or partners, maximum once a month. Working in the evenings for conference calls with colleagues at Global Headquarters is part of the role, though never more than a few times a month. KEEN has a 4-day per week office attendance policy at its EMEA headquarters in Rotterdam, with a lot of flexibility. This role is 24 hours per week.

We offer:

Market relevant compensation package (salary and bonus), depending on experience

A company Learning & Development program, offering courses to develop yourself and your career

Networking opportunities within the footwear and ecommerce industry

KEEN laptop

25 holidays annually, excluding public holidays (based on 40 hours/week)

24 paid volunteer hours annually (based on 40 hours/week)

A very international environment, fully English-speaking

Joint activities and office events throughout the year
