Oversee all contract laboratory activities, including sample submission, communication with external representatives, and evaluation of testing capabilities. Track sample progress from submission through test completion using Excel-based tools, document Certificate of Analysis (COA) results, and maintain accurate records to support compliance and reporting.  </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Documentation & Compliance   <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), specifications, and other GMP documentation as needed.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Review laboratory logbooks for equipment usage and sample login to ensure accurate and compliant GMP documentation.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current and accessible within the company’s MSDS system in collaboration with corporate safety personnel.  </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Purchasing & Inventory Management   <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Request quotes, negotiate discounts, and place orders for laboratory supplies, chemicals, reagents, standards, and equipment while adhering to budgetary constraints.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Create purchase requisitions and complete expense reports related to laboratory and contract testing costs.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels of chemicals, reagents, standards, and consumables to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.  </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Hazardous Waste & Safety Oversight   <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Manage the hazardous waste satellite accumulation area, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and disposal of expired or depleted chemicals and reagents.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Coordinate with warehouse personnel for timely replacement and disposal of hazardous waste containers.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Verify and dispose of expired solvents, mobile phases, and test solutions in accordance with regulatory requirements.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Perform daily safety checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards such as spills, obstructions, or fire risks.  </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Laboratory Maintenance & Support   <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Clean and organize laboratory storage areas monthly to support efficient workflows.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Maintain cleanliness and readiness of laboratory equipment, including pipette wash stations and desiccant replacements.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure proper use and storage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.  </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer for the QC lab, including conducting annual chemical inventory updates.  </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, Applicants are awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular/community activities.   Tuition Reimbursement After one full year of employment, employee-owners are eligible for tuition reimbursement for bachelor’s level coursework related to their current job or any future job offered at PBI-Gordon Companies. Parental Leave Company paid parental leave is offered to employee-owners following the birth of a child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption, foster care, or surrogacy.
