If you’re hardworking, eager to learn, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment—we want to hear from you!</p></div><p><strong><u>Purpose</u></strong><strong>: </strong></p> <p>Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Location Service Management team.</p> <p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural equipment and technology. May perform diagnostics and repairs on competitive equipment.</li> <li>Performs diagnosis and repair, primarily at the shop, and in the field as required.</li> <li>Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.</li> <li>Participates in John Deere University training and dealer-led training to further the development of skills and knowledge.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.</li> <li>Meets the John Deere requirements for an Advanced Service Technician.</li> <li>Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and Students as requested.</li> <li>May conduct or support customer clinics.</li> <li>Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.</li> <li>Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.</li> <li>Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.</li> <li>Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.</li> <li>Responsible for tracking all materials used in performing assigned duties.</li> <li>Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments in a timely manner.</li> <li>Other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by manager.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge</u></strong><strong>:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent experience required, Associates degree preferred.</li> <li>3+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.</li> <li>Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures with limited re-work or customer dissatisfaction.</li> <li>Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.</li> <li>Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.</li> <li>Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.</li> <li>Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and forklift license preferred.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Additional Requirements</u></strong><strong>: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.</li> <li>Adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities required.</li> <li>Driving record that meets Employer’s insurance company requirements.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Comprehensive benefit package for full-time team members includes</span>:</h4> <ul> <li>Competitive bi-weekly wages</li> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li> <li>401(k) plan with company contributions</li> <li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA) &amp; Health Savings Account (HSA)</li> <li>Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays</li> <li>Company-paid short-term disability&nbsp;</li> <li>Life Insurance</li> <li>Team member discounts</li> <li>Access to additional voluntary insurance plans</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program (AEP)</li> <li>Company-provided uniforms</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong>About <em><strong>TRU</strong>LAND</em> Equipment</span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>TRU</strong>LAND</em> Equipment is a John Deere dealer with 18 locations in Indiana and Ohio that supplies and services a wide range of new and used equipment for residential, commercial and agricultural applications.
