As a Structural Engineer at AKS, you will be part of a remarkable journey&nbsp;to design and construct structures that stand as testaments to our commitment to&nbsp;excellence and the unique character throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is a great&nbsp;opportunity to collaborate with our teams and support cross office work while engaging in a&nbsp;variety of projects ranging from commercial/industrial/educational/hospital structural&nbsp;design, seismic retrofitting, equipment anchorage design, and single-span bridges.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients that lead to repeat business and new opportunities&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality work on time&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead large- and small-scale structural design or rehabilitation projects for commercial and private structures</li> <li>Oversee the preparation of structural investigation reports including performing site visits to document site conditions and reviewing collected documents</li> <li>Collaborate with our marketing team as a technical lead to win work&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentor and grow a high-performing local team of engineers and technical staff&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering required</li> <li>MS or Meng Degree with Structural emphasis preferred</li> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required</li> <li>Desire to obtain SE license in the state of Oregon preferred</li> <li>Minimum of four years’ progressive structural engineering experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in structural analysis and design software</li> <li>Understanding of contracts and agreements.</li> <li>Ability to generate structural project proposals.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with relevant local/state/federal regulations and client specific requirements.</li> <li>Self-motivated team player.</li> <li>Desire and know-how to build client relationships and develop new customers.</li> <li>Have a "Do what needs to be done" <span data-teams="true">mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and running smoothly.</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h2>Why AKS?</h2> <p>At AKS, we believe your work should support your life, not the other way around.
