The Capital Program’s staff consists of design and construction professionals; administrative staff; and project support analysts who work together to provide physical infrastructure, facilities, and amenities. We work to strengthen the City’s competitive position through the implementation of a wide variety of municipal construction projects.   A Senior Project Manager (SPM) in the Capital Program Department (CAP) will be responsible for the implementation of a design and construction portfolio of 6-10 active capital projects with a total project value of approximately $100 million+.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned contracts and projects throughout all phases of development.  </li> <li>Lead the procurement and coordination of architecture, engineering, construction, and other consultant teams. <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335557856":16777215,"335559685":720,"335559737":0,"335559738":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":259,"335559991":360}"> </li> <li>Oversee project planning and predevelopment activities, including existing conditions assessments, programming, feasibility studies, cost estimating, and budgeting. <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335557856":16777215,"335559685":720,"335559737":0,"335559738":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":259,"335559991":360}"> </li> <li>Manage the design process from schematic design through construction documentation, including coordination of required regulatory submissions and approvals. <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335557856":16777215,"335559685":720,"335559737":0,"335559738":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":259,"335559991":360}"> </li> <li>Oversee bidding, construction, and project close-out activities, ensuring continuity and coordination across each project phase.<span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335557856":16777215,"335559685":720,"335559737":0,"335559738":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":259,"335559991":360}"> </li> <li>Manage multiple workstreams and deliverables, ensuring work is completed in accordance with established quality standards, expectations, and deadlines. </li> <li>Execute a risk-based management approach to project delivery which includes identifying, forecasting, and appropriately mitigatingproject risk. </li> <li>Coordinate project teams, providing direction and aligning team members toward established project goals and outcomes. </li> <li>Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and developments in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning through ongoing professional development and continuing education. </li> <li>Other duties as assigned.  </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or related field </li> <li>Preferably working towards professional registration (PE, RA, RLA, AICP, CUD, CCM.
