Experience a sense of stability by working for an organization that has over 110 years of history caring for seniors.&nbsp; <strong>You will have a choice of where, when and how frequently you work. </strong></p> <p>At Otterbein, you’re more than an employee, you’re a <strong>Partner in Caring.</strong> Together, we work side by side toward a shared goal: delivering person-centered care that respects every resident and the choices they make.</p> <p>Whether in our vibrant communities, our welcoming small house neighborhoods, Home Health, Hospice or Home Office, we provide the highest level of compassionate, quality care.</p> <p>Join our team of Partners who are talented, kind, wise, funny, spirited, generous, endearing, and truly one-of-a-kind.</p> <p>To learn more about the locations near you click here: <a href="https://otterbein.org/find-a-location/" target="_blank">https://otterbein.org/find-a-location/</a></p> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <p><strong>Schedule: PRN</strong></p> <p><strong>Pay: $99-$66 per visit and weekend differentials</strong></p> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Responsibilities</h2> </div> </div> </div> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Performs initial evaluation and ongoing patient assessments in response to patients' ongoing needs and in accordance with physician orders.&nbsp;</li> <li>Initiates a written plan of care, re-evaluates and updates the plan as necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides skilled occupational therapy modalities within the therapy scope of practice.&nbsp;</li> <li>Documents skilled care and/or services provided in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, and Agency policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participates in case conference to discuss multidisciplinary team responsibilities, patient progress, plans for continued care, etc.</li> <li>Addresses and supports patient/family cultural practices, as long as such practices do not harm others or interfere with the planned course medical therapy.&nbsp;</li> <li>Promotes and provides patient/family/caregiver education using various verbal and written communication techniques that take into account the patient's/family's cultural, ethnic, and/or personal needs or preferences.&nbsp;</li> <li>Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in planned and delegated services performed for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards and assuring patient care needs are met.&nbsp;</li> <li>Supervision includes regularly scheduled patient record reviews, conferences and a visit to the patient's home with or without the COTA present at least every 30 days unless state laws require more frequently.&nbsp;</li> <li>Plans discharge appropriately; provides information about community resources to address patient ongoing needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledgeable of federal, state regulations and Agency's policies and procedures regarding patient care.&nbsp;</li> <li>Communicates with all members of the health care team, including physicians appropriately and in timely manner regarding patient changes in status, findings or needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Notifies the physician, the Director of Nursing and other health care team members of any changes in the patient's condition and the need to modify the plan of care.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains currency of knowledge and skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participates in the Agency's Quality Improvement program.&nbsp;</li> <li>Attends Agency meetings and in-services as required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Obtains appropriate number of continuing education credits to maintain re-licensure status.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains confidentiality of patient and Agency information at all times.</li> </ul> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Education</strong>: Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association; or,</li> <li>Is eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy<br>Association; or,</li> <li>Has two (2) years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, and has achieved a satisfactory grade on a<br>proficiency examination conducted, approved, or sponsored by the US Public Health Service except for those individuals initially licensed by the State or seeking qualification as an Occupational Therapist<br>after December 31, 1977</li> <li><strong>Licensure/Certification:</strong>&nbsp;Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist for the State of Ohio</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist</li> <li>Occupational Therapists who supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) must have two (2)<br>years home care experience and one (1) year supervisory experience</li> <li>Current CPR card</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why work for Otterbein SeniorLife?</strong></p> <p>For more than 100 years, Otterbein has provided senior living options rooted in respect and community.&nbsp;
