In everything we do, we’re committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship.</p> <p>Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.</p> <p>As the Staff Accountant at Ceremony of Roses you will support the accounting close and financial reporting processes by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, analyzing variances, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information across multiple merchandising channels. Success in this role looks like accurate and timely close execution, high‑quality reconciliations and documentation, thoughtful analysis of variances, and effective collaboration with cross‑functional partners to support reliable financial reporting.</p> <h2><strong>What you'll do:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close to ensure financial statements are completed accurately and on time.</li> <li>Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.</li> <li>Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations; research and resolve reconciling items.</li> <li>Reconcile revenue and related accounts by merchandising channel (Retail, E-commerce, Tour, and Supply).</li> <li>Review general ledger activity to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with policy.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and ad hoc analyses as needed.</li> <li>Investigate account variances and unusual activity; escalate issues and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information required for close, reporting, and audit support.</li> or a related field.</li> <li>1–2 years of accounting experience, including support of month-end close.</li> <li>Experience performing account reconciliations and general ledger activities.</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, BW, BPC).</li> <li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, investigate issues, apply sound judgment, and maintain data integrity.</li> <li>Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Experience supporting multi-channel revenue accounting (Retail, E-commerce, Tour, and/or Supply).</li> <li>Prior experience in a consumer products, retail, or merchandising environment.</li> <li>Exposure to audits and preparation of audit support schedules.</li> <li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving</li> <li>Clear written and verbal communication</li> <li>Collaboration and
