In this crucial role, you will manage engineers and other leads, helping them grow while we build scalable, secure, and high-quality products with our users as the center. You will work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to define the strategy, set priorities, and align on roadmaps. Your ultimate goal will be to deliver excellent products to our customers, prioritizing security, compliance, user experience, and reliability in a high-volume trading environment. This role requires deep technical and architectural understanding, with a solid previous background as a developer. While day-to-day coding is not expected, you will need to provide hands-on technical guidance and support your teams in complex situations.   <h3>Who You Are</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Passionate about the crypto ecosystem.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">6+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with at least 2+ years managing managers.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong background in trading or investment platforms.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Proven ability to scale engineering teams,optimize delivery processes, and handle high-throughput, mission-critical systems. .</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Deep technical expertise in software engineering, architecture, and team building.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions,  geographies, and remote/distributed teams..</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with Git and automated CI/CD tools.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong ability to coordinate sizeable multidisciplinary product engineering squads.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Knows how to motivate teams through practical challenges and foster psychological safety..</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience building and launching large-scale user-facing products to market.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Comfortable with modern delivery practices, including DevOps principles.</li> </ul>   <h3>Nice to Have</h3> The following qualifications are not mandatory but would be valuable: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Crypto and trading knowledge</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">You know your way around Kubernetes, GRPC,REST, microservices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working on User Facing Products in mobile or web</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of Shape Up or similar fixed-cycle product development methodologies</li> </ul>   <h3>What You Will Do</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Be responsible for the team health and growth of each of its members.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Identify high performers that need to be nurtured and lower performers that need assistance.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Run performance reviews, assign promotions, and ensure robust succession planning.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide leadership and technological guidance to your squad and other managers when uncertain.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitoring metrics, goals, and missions for people and teams.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Oversee and empower engineering teams, ensuring high productivity, technical excellence, and a strong culture of collaboration.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Oversee and empower engineering teams, ensuring high productivity, technical excellence, and a strong culture of collaboration—delegating execution while maintaining accountability.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure teams have the proper structure, processes, and resources to succeed..</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Foster a high-performance engineering culture by driving best practices in software development, security, system design, and risk management.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to hiring and retaining top engineering talent globally, helping to shape the future of Bitso’s technical organization.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Challenge the status quo to maximize customer value, delivering innovative and high-quality software solutions.Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction, providing clear visibility and trade-off discussions to stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Influence cross-functional partners and contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the Engineering organization.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h3 class="p1" style="line-height: 1.4;">Who We Are</h3> With over 9 million users, Bitso is the leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America.
