The Carpenter Journeyman will work with the job supervisor to complete projects under contract. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate with a team of professionals to complete these projects within the projected deadline and under budget.</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories, rod-busting and concrete finishing.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret instructions.</li> <li>Document, plan, and perform work activities independently.</li> <li>Read and interpret blueprints.</li> <li>Perform all other job duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2 years of form setting, rod-busting and concrete finishing experience in an industrial construction setting</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of industrial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and adherence to applicable building codes and must be proficient at reading blueprints.</li> <li>Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions.</li> <li>Must be able to complete and complete the paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes for field staff and other subcontractors.</li> <li>Must be willing to embrace the company’s core values.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment</strong></p> <p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
