About the Role

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: ▪ Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values ▪ Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates ▪ Client service – Maintains regular, professional contact to create and foster relationships with client representatives – Researches and resolves issues and requests in a timely manner – including issues that require direct interactions – Answers questions related to benefits program – Conducts reviews and works to provide guidance on compliance related matters ▪ Client meetings – Assists in and prepares materials and collateral for meetings and discussions – Actively participates in discussions – Records and reports meeting discussions and action items ▪ Carrier and vendor management – Assists new vendor/carrier implementations – Reviews carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts – Maintains regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner ▪ Communication and education – Works with client to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives – Creates member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features – Assists with in person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants – Uses regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services ▪ Internal partnerships – Actively participates and contributes to client service team operations – Effectively communicates client updates to appropriate team members – Assists with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to: ▪ Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards ▪ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience ▪ 2 or more years of relevant experience ▪ Intermediate MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) ▪ Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms ▪ Ability to work independently ▪ Intermediate interpersonal communication skills – written and oral – with the ability to articulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner ▪ Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving ▪ Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually) ▪ Intermediate organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines ▪ Possesses high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentially #LI-JS1<div class="content-conclusion">Compensation & Benefits Being a part of IMA has its benefits.
