We only accept direct applications.</div> <h2>Service Manager (Commercial HVAC)</h2> <div>Location: Garland, TX (Supporting Commercial HVAC Clients Throughout North Texas) Department: Service | Commercial HVAC Reports To: Chief Operations Officer (COO)</div> <hr> <h3>Position Overview</h3> As a Service Manager at NTD Mechanical, you will oversee the daily operations, growth, and profitability of NTD Mechanical's HVAC service department. This leader will be responsible for managing 8-10+ HVAC service technicians, supporting dispatch and scheduling activities, driving customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and helping grow a scalable service business across North Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC service professional who combines strong technical knowledge with leadership, business acumen, and a passion for developing people. <h3>What You'll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and support a team of 8-10+ commercial HVAC service technicians.</li> <li>Oversee daily service operations, dispatch coordination, and technician scheduling.</li> <li>Monitor service department performance, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Support the growth of preventive maintenance agreements, service contracts, and recurring revenue opportunities.</li> <li>Assist with estimating, job costing, budgeting, and resource planning.</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex service issues.</li> <li>Collaborate with service sales, project management, field operations, and accounting teams to ensure successful project execution.</li> <li>Review service reports, work orders, and invoicing for accuracy and timely completion.</li> <li>Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.</li> <li>Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and customer service excellence.</li> </ul> <h3>What You'll Bring</h3> Required Qualifications <ul> <li>10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.</li> <li>3+ years leading service technicians, supervisors, or service operations teams</li> <li>Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, including: <ul> <li>Rooftop Units (RTUs)</li> <li>Chillers</li> <li>Boilers</li> <li>VRF/VRV Systems</li> <li>Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)</li> <li>Building Automation Systems (BAS)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience managing dispatch priorities, service workflows, and customers</li> <li>Understanding of service department financials, labor utilization, gross margin, job costing, and operational KPIs</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and service management software.</li> <li>Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.</li> <li>Ability to build teams, improve processes, and drive accountability.</li> <li>Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.</li> <li>High school diploma or GED required; technical HVAC training preferred</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li>Familiarity with the North Texas commercial HVAC market</li> <li>Experience growing preventive maintenance and service agreement portfolios.</li> <li>Knowledge of Foundation or similar ERP/service management platforms.</li> </ul> <h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3> Base Salary: $100,000-$130,000 based on experience and qualifications.
