Yieldmo helps brands deliver the best ad for every impression opportunity, merging creative and media for proven results.</p> <h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2> <p>We're hiring a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (5–10 years of experience) to help build Yieldmo's AI-powered search engine, which will change how users discover and engage with content across major publishers.&nbsp;This is a full-stack role with a strong ML component. You'll build backend services and ML-powered features, and ship the user-facing interfaces that bring them to life.&nbsp; We care most about builders: engineers who write production code, iterate quickly, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and own their work end to end.</p> <h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that power AI-driven search, including retrieval, ranking, and indexing components.</li> <li>Build and deploy ML features into production: embeddings, vector search, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and model evaluation.</li> <li>Develop responsive, performant front-end experiences that surface search results and AI features to users and internal teams.</li> <li>Build and maintain data and content ingestion pipelines that feed the search system.</li> <li>Own features end to end, from prototype through production, monitoring, and iteration.</li> <li>Partner with Product, ML, and Engineering teams to turn requirements into shipped features.</li> <li>Drive quality, performance, and reliability for the services you own, including testing, code reviews, and observability.</li> <li>Share knowledge and support teammates; senior engineers will mentor others and contribute to technical design decisions.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Must be based in India.</li> <li>5–10 years of professional software engineering experience, building and operating production systems.</li> <li>Strong backend skills in Python, with solid SQL and experience designing APIs and microservices.</li> <li>Hands-on front-end experience with a modern framework (React preferred) plus JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.</li> <li>Practical ML experience in production: working with embeddings, vector databases, LLMs, RAG, or ranking/recommendation models.</li> <li>Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), and CI/CD.</li> <li>Strong fundamentals in data structures, system design, and testing.</li> <li>Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, remote team.</li> <li>An ownership mindset: you ship, measure, and improve.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice to Haves</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Deeper ML/AI backend experience: model serving, fine-tuning, training pipelines, or online/offline evaluation.</li> <li>Experience building search or retrieval systems (inverted indexes, BM25, hybrid search, rerankers).</li> <li>Familiarity with data tools such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or a modern data warehouse.</li> <li>Experience with publisher-scale content, recommendation systems, or adtech.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Hiring Process</strong></h2> <p>Selected candidates will be invited to a 30-minute screening call with our Talent Acquisition team, where we'll share full process details.
