Backed by world-class investors like Benchmark, Spark Capital, Craft Ventures, Greylock, Y Combinator, and others, we’re looking for exceptional talent to reimagine the way the world works.</div>As Manager/ Senior Manager of Finance at Instawork India, you will own and oversee the finance/accounting team for Instawork India, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Instawork (U.S. company - <a href="http://www.instawork.com">www.instawork.com</a>).  Additionally, you will own the Accounts Receivable for the U.S. company, including managing AR collections analysts.  You will report directly to the U.S. Controller, but also work closely with the Country Head of Instawork India. You would be responsible for end-to-end financial management domestically, including payroll, accounts payable, all corporate accounting, including the month-end close, regulatory/compliance and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation for Instawork’s Indian Entity.  You will partner with the Country Head and help design and implement various internal policies for finance, expenses, and budgeting.  You will also ensure that the Indian Entity is compliant with all the prevailing laws and regulations of the country and proactively advise the management of any changes in regulations. Additionally, you would be working with the global finance team to help achieve other business goals as determined by the U.S. CFO and U.S. Controller from time to time. Accounting <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Lead and Own U.S. Accounts Receivable for the Company</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Initiate best-in-class global support of the month-end close, year-end close, and audit support</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Own end-to-end accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping for the Indian entity, along with expense management and vendor payments</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Calculation and remittance of monthly statutory payments and Taxes eg, TDS PF, ESI, PT etc</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Preparation of financial statements and the company’s monthly MIS reports</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Coordination with Statutory auditors, external consultants, banks and other government agencies</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Preparation and filing of the company’s GST and Income tax returns</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Preparation & submission of quarterly and annual returns</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Help design and implement various internal policies for finance, expenses, and budgeting</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Assist with Global accounting and reporting in conjunction with the U.S. CFO and U.S Controller</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Supervise, mentor, and guide the India finance team (2 personnel) and the AR collections analysts (3 personnel)</li> </ul> Compliance Own end to end compliance for the Indian entity including Financial Audit, RBI, STPI, MCA and other regulatory filings including: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Periodic Tax and Statutory payments like EPF, ESI, state taxes etc.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Periodic Regulatory Filings with RBI and MCA</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">STPI and export related compliances</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Annual Audit and Tax Filings</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Facilitate Board Meetings</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Assistance with Global compliance and regulatory filings</li> </ul> Who you are <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">CA with 7-10 years of experience with strong knowledge of Indian Accounting</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Knowledge of US GAAP </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Experience working with a Big 4 firm is a plus</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Have handled Global Financial Operations, particularly Accounts Receivable a plus</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Ownership of financial operations workflows to support Corporate/ Global team</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">NetSuite experience is desirable</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required.
