<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Overview </strong></span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">This role is responsible for providing nursing services in a vascular Office-Based Lab setting. The Critical Care (otherwise known as Office-Based Lab) Nurse will collaborate with clinical leadership in the performance of the management, clinical, and patient care aspects of his/her duties, and will always act within scope of practice and under the authority of the attending surgeon. This role will perform all responsibilities and duties within the limits established by the physician staff and consistent with the statutes of the Connecticut Board of Nursing.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">This role is full-time, non exempt. This role will report to the Office Manager for operational matters and to the Lead Office Based Lab Nurse for clinical matters.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Responsibilities </strong></span></p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist as needed with daily operations of the out-patient endovascular center, including:</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Review scheduled cases ahead of time</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain Infection control</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Stock medications, supplies and equipment</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure the center is adequately staffed</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the center</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain patient and narcotic logs</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
</ul>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Responsible for patient care, including:</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Oversee patient experience from pre-procedure to discharge</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure that patients are called in a timely manner before procedure, are given adequate instructions and their questions are answered</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Provide post-procedures call backs to all patients within 24 hours</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure patient medical records are comprehensive and complete including medical history</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Observe patient vital signs during procedure</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain patient records in filing system</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure comfort of patient support systems in center, including stocking refreshments and snacks in the waiting room and refrigerator</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist with management of Quality Assurance Program</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain Safety Standards within the center According to AAASF requirements</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist with overseeing that equipment is maintained and checked according to AAAASF standards, including but not limited to:</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
</ul>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Requirements </strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, minimum of BSN</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Registered as a nurse in the state of Connecticut</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">BLS and ACLS certification</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">ICU or ED experience a must</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
