This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks</li> <li>Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment.&nbsp; Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.</li> <li>Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.</li> <li>Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.</li> <li>Basic computer knowledge is required.</li> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred</li> <li>Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment</strong></p> <p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
