If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Basic Skills needed: Great Verbal and non-verbal communicator, listener, lead by example, outside the box thinker, Self-motivated, TEAM first, be able to develop associates and oneself.  </li> <li>Be able to collaborate with other departments and areas to include, maintenance, quality, industrial engineers, programmers etc.  </li> <li>Lead an Assembly team to achieve all business objectives including safety, quality, continuous improvement, production, profitability, customer service, and other internal metrics, consistent with the lean principles. </li> <li>Supports all aspects of production processes including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale and drives successful implementation of Scout’s Production System processes and standards. </li> <li>Help lead assembly from development phase though SOP on New Models </li> <li>Help lead designated areas from BBG through SOP on New Models. </li> <li>Drive Problem Solving activities and innovation in area with support from Management.  </li> <li>Review daily KPI’s, lead root cause analysis on issues in area with support of Process Lead, Industrial Engineer, and Quality Engineer. </li> <li>Support with change management initiatives in the section, drive workforce engagement, and provide coaching and feedback to all employees. </li> <li>Ensure compliance in all audit initiatives and all areas of the operations.  </li> <li>Manage resources to support project completion of lean projects. </li> <li>Drive launch and mid-cycle action activities, cost improvements, and raising the bar on quality and product safety. </li> <li>Monitor launch curve attainment for new programs and establish PDCA as needed. </li> <li>Lead the elimination of waste in all aspects of the business. </li> <li>Motivate, cultivate, and promote teamwork and problem solving in a positive, proactive work environment. </li> <li>Ability to work any shift and support overtime based on the business requirements.  </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees and management within all areas of the Plant.  </li> <li>Ability to work in a collaborative work environment. </li> <li>Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.   </li> <li>Ability to effectively lead a diverse workforce, develop, and mentor above and beyond required operational and business objectives.  </li> <li>A strong working knowledge of Body-In-White, Paint, Assembly Operations, Logistics and Maintenance.  </li> <li>Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers. </li> <li>Knowledge of various process systems, quality systems, throughput, standardization, and product/process launch. </li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina</li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring: <ul> <li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive assembly, Finish (End of Line) with maintenance responsibilities, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering in automotive technology, Manufacturing, or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.  </li> <li>Wheel Alignment, Roll Booth, Water test, ADAS commissioning. </li> <li>Strong understanding of continuous improvement systems, such as TPS, VPS, and Lean Manufacturing principles. </li> <li>Strong understanding of pre-series builds, Finish (End of Line), and the automotive production process.  </li> <li>Hands on experience with assembly tools, jigs and fixtures in manufacturing setting.  </li> <li>Experience in managing maintenance teams and coordinating repair activities.  </li> </ul> <h4>What you'll gain</h4> The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
