Procurement Buyer at AST SpaceMobile

Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</p></div><p><strong>Summary:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>The Buyer&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;in the selection and&nbsp;purchasing&nbsp;of quality products at our Production facility in Midland, TX from a group of suppliers globally and or domestic along with the On time delivery of such goods.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Buying direct material parts from global suppliers</li> <li>Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers</li> <li>Providing buying benefits such as savings, better lead times, terms, when buying parts</li> <li>Assurance of supply on timely matter, following thru from ordering to delivery</li> <li>Transacting and Placing Purchase Orders for Direct Material Needs in our Netsuite System</li> <li>Maintaining records and estimated dates for deliveries in the system Netsuite</li> <li>Keeping Supplier &nbsp;and parts attributes in Netsuite up to date</li> <li>Owning Supplier Leadtimes and working on improving them.</li> <li>Owning Procrument-Receiving issues and disputed items resolution process for buy</li> <li>Resolving Supplier Accounts Payable disputes</li> <li>Assist&nbsp;in&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;current inventory.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assists&nbsp;in research, analysis, and forecasting of current and future buying trends, and products.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintains relationships with assigned wholesalers, vendors, and suppliers.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assists&nbsp;in negotiation of contracts with select wholesalers, vendors, and suppliers.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assigned to projects to support procurement of goods and services.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Potential assignments to assist commodities to manage procurement and inventory levels.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintaining healthy commercial relationships with suppliers</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintains relationships with internal customers.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Clear reporting of progress and expected deliveries.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Infrequent travel may be&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors&nbsp;degree&nbsp;required&nbsp;in Business Administration, Supply Chain, &nbsp;Finance, or related field.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, NetSuite or related software.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to compile information and data to make decisions.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to work under pressure and to problem solving,</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Fluent in English.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience with ERPs.&nbsp; Purchasing Modules a must.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience negotiating supply chain contracts.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>3 years of relevant experience for Senior Buyer level.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>This job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
