We transform these elements into scalable assets, reusable patterns, and clear guidance that elevate quality, performance, and consistency across products. This team is a part of our Design Studio, a multidisciplinary organization that is responsible for the visual language and expression of our brand and product.</p>
<p>As an Icon Designer on Visual Systems, you will own and evolve the iconography that defines the Roblox product experience. You will lead the design, execution, and systemization of our icon libraries, partnering closely with product designers and engineers to ensure every icon is crafted with precision, consistency, and Roblox's unique identity in mind. Being part of a multidisciplinary team, you will also collaborate with brand designers, motion designers, and editors to extend iconographic work across a variety of surfaces and outputs. Your work will ensure that every icon — from utility glyphs to expressive product marks — reflects Roblox's character with craft, accessibility, and performance at the forefront. You have a passion for icon craft, a rigorous and systematic approach to design, and deep fluency in tools like Figma. This role reports to the Head of Design Studio.</p>
<p><strong>You Will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own, evolve, and execute icons across our Builder Icon Library and broader product icon ecosystem.</li>
<li>Define and maintain icon standards — grid, stroke, weight, optical sizing, and style — that scale across platforms and use cases.</li>
<li>Translate iconographic decisions into clearly documented specs, usage guidelines, and reusable Figma assets that enable teams to apply icons consistently and confidently.</li>
<li>Partner with product designers and engineers to integrate icons into features from exploration through launch, ensuring quality and fidelity in the final experience.</li>
<li>Lead visual QA for iconography, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and performance across all platforms and resolutions.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to raise the craft quality of existing icons through audits, refinements, and improved implementation details.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Brand Design and Foundation partners to keep product iconography aligned with the broader visual language.</li>
<li>Contribute to other visual primitives (color, typography, motion, grid, shape) in support of the wider Visual Systems team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You Have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years in icon design or visual design, with a portfolio that demonstrates a strong body of systemized iconographic work at product scale.</li>
<li>Deep experience building, managing, and executing icon systems — including grid frameworks, naming conventions, and multi-platform delivery.</li>
<li>Strong craft in icon construction: geometry, optical balance, stroke consistency, and pixel-level precision.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Figma and relevant vector tools, with experience taking icon work through implementation with engineering partners.</li>
<li>Clear communication and documentation habits, with a collaborative approach to working across product, brand, and engineering teams.</li>
</ul>

<li>Obsessed with icon craft — attuned to the details of geometry, weight, and optical correctness that separate good icons from great ones.</li>
<li>Systematic in your approach, with a strong eye for consistency, scalability, and the rules that make a library cohesive.</li>
<li>Comfortable owning a significant, high-visibility area of the visual system while contributing to broader team initiatives.</li>
<li>Skilled at partnering with product designers and engineers to ship icon work with fidelity and performance intact.</li>
<li>Open to feedback and committed to cross-functional collaboration.</li>
<li>Energized by the idea that a well-crafted icon, seen by millions, is a meaningful expression of Roblox's identity.</li>

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on <strong><a href="https://careers.roblox.com/total-rewards">this page</a></strong>.</p></div><div class="title">Annual Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$140,450</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$176,940 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).</p>
