WHERE YOU’LL WORK Our headquarters for this position are out of Miami, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. Their sponsorship programming spans sports, music, culinary, and cultural platforms, showcasing their diversity and market strength.  Our team is searching for an Experiential Manager (Maternity Leave Coverage) to create, plan, and deliver world-class experiences for brand clients, consumers, and customers across a growing portfolio of passion platforms including football, music, F1, culinary, and esports. Given the subject matter of the role, this person must be proficient in both Spanish and English.  As our Experiential Manager, you will support the ongoing execution of existing experiential programs, ensuring continuity, quality, and seamless delivery during the leave period. The day-to-day includes working across client sponsorship properties, coordinating events and activation logistics, executing approved programs, and managing daily client communications. You will also support brainstorms and ideation efforts as needed to advance client objectives.  Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  <ul> <li>Create and foster relationships with internal and external partners as well as outside vendors and properties </li> <li>Support sponsorship activation planning and execution of clients’ sponsorship properties in football, F1, music, culinary and gaming </li> <li>Lead through all aspects of event programming, from initial brainstorm through execution (on-site and virtual) and wrap-up </li> <li>Be the day-to-day client liaison across multiple programs </li> <li>Develop tailored experiential event strategic plans </li> <li>Assist and/or manage numerous projects simultaneously, both large-scale custom experiences and smaller-scale events </li> <li>Oversee the management of materials related to individual events </li> <li>Facilitate and/or manage program budgets and be diligent in all accounting and expense procedures </li> <li>Collaborate with a variety of specialty groups within Octagon (creative, client services, digital, etc.) </li> <li>Host client and inter-agency calls during planning, providing strategic guidance and recommendations while keeping an organized, efficient staffing plan </li> <li>Lead on-site staff and partners at events and activations </li> <li>Manage program budgets independently </li> <li>Lead and support brainstorms and thought leadership projects </li> <li>Other administrative duties as assigned </li> </ul> THE BIGGER TEAM YOU’LL JOIN  Recognized as one of the <a href="https://www.octagon.com/news/octagon-selected-to-sports-business-journals-2023-best-places-to-work-in-sports/">“Best Places to Work in Sports”</a>, Octagon is the global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing arm of the Interpublic Group.  We take pride in being Playmakers – finding insightful, bold ways to create play in our work, our lives, and in the world. Are you a Playmaker?  WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR  <ul> <li>Have a passion for sports, entertainment, gaming, F1, and/or celebrity / lifestyle culture </li> <li>4-5+ years of work experience in event production or experiential marketing with Hispanic focused sports & entertainment properties </li> <li>A strong understanding of sports & entertainment sponsorship space is required </li> <li>Spanish-language fluency, business proficient is required  </li> <li>Previous demonstrable experience working with multiple Latin America markets </li> <li>Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offering  </li> <li>Proficiency in driving business forward and adjusting approach based on timelines, budgets, and project demands </li> <li>Exceptional communicator both in persuasive and concise speech and written documents/ communication </li> <li>Proactive, solution-oriented thinker and doer </li> <li>Managing and prioritizing multiple projects with varying timelines and needs </li> <li>Ability to “zoom in’ to figure out complex logistical problems with team members, then “zoom out” to understand big picture strategy and inform leadership </li> <li>Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel is up to 35% </li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint </li> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to or more than 8 hours at a time </li> </ul> This position pays an annualized rate of $70,000, and is not overtime-eligible. Contract positions with Octagon are not benefits-eligible.    Octagon is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
