CASSA provides small group learning, educational technology, and a wide range of specialty classes. The close-knit EK-8 school features a positive school culture with many campus events and activities. Cleveland Arts & Social Sciences Academy is part of ACCEL Schools, an established network of public charter schools serving K-12 students throughout the United States since 2014.  About the Opportunity: The Family and Community Liaison provide family outreach in a manner that increases parent and broader community involvement in the school. Responsibilities of the Family and Community Liaison include- <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Contact parents and families through phone calls, home visits and meetings at the school</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide parents with clarification on school policy and procedures such as enrollment, attendance, dress code, and student conduct</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop written materials to be shared with families</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Facilitate communications between parents and teachers or other school staff</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Refer families to school and community resources as appropriate</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Establish and maintain community partnerships to provide services to students</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, morning duty, dismissal duty, and lunch duty</li> </ul> About You: <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s Degree preferred</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based applications</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2 years’ community outreach experience</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong Interpersonal skills</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understanding and ability to manage confidential information</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to pass federal and state background checks</li> </ul>  About Us “We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & Founder ACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
