<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Newlab is a global venture platform accelerating the commercialization of critical technologies through a place-based model. We operate five (5) commercialization hubs anchored by public-private partnerships in strategic geographies worldwide: Brooklyn, NY (USA); Detroit, MI (USA); New Orleans, LA (USA); Montevideo, Uruguay; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Newlab is recruiting a dynamic Sr. Manager to serve as a force multiplier for the Strategy team as we continue to expand globally. The Sr. Manager of Strategy & Growth will help shape and execute our growth strategy by leading research on potential new locations and directly supporting new market development efforts. The ideal candidate pairs strategic rigor with hands-on execution, translating analysis into actionable strategies and driving complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to outcomes.</span><br><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This position is in-person in our Brooklyn Navy Yard location. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Role & Responsibilities</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Market research and analysis</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead rapid analysis of inbound market development opportunities to drive first-gate decision-making</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proactively build a market expansion pipeline by identifying and analyzing high-potential new locations aligned with Newlab’s sectors of focus</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead research and comparative analysis on potential new locations based on key factors including industry-led technology potential, policy and funding landscape, competitive dynamics, and potential risks </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Synthesize analysis into clear market theses to drive internal decision-making and business case development </span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Pipeline management </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain a structured geographic expansion pipeline, tracking opportunities from early exploration through go/no-go decisions</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Drive internal coordination to ensure all opportunities are advancing at pace and team time is being allocated effectively based on strategic and growth priorities</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Liaise with Finance and Biz Ops teams to integrate pipeline data into broader business and board/investor reporting</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">RFP and proposal development </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop strategic narratives that translate market theses into persuasive materials (decks, memos, budget narratives) tailored to public and private-sector audiences</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support the capital and partnership formation strategy for prospective location deals</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead RFI/RFP submissions by coordinating inputs across internal teams and external partners to deliver timely, high-quality responses</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Project management & Cross-functional / stakeholder coordination </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Project manage market development initiatives setting timelines, developing and managing workplans, tracking risks/dependencies, and drive accountable execution across internal </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Serve as primary liaison to key external stakeholders, managing communications and information flows, coordinating inputs, and ensuring consistent strategic alignment</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support engagement model design with strategic industry, academic and other region-specific stakeholders that could be core, founding partners in Newlab’s prospective location platform</span></li>
</ul>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Synthesize research, stakeholder input, and market signals into actionable recommendations that can be applied to improve internal processes and support rapid decision-making</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support the development of repeatable frameworks, tools, and templates to improve how the organization evaluates new locations and market opportunities</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Monitor market and policy trends in relevant industries and geographies to inform long-term growth strategy and/or identify opportunities to develop centralized initiatives that can drive growth across existing and new locations </span></li>
</ul>
<h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Required</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">6-9+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, economic development, management consulting, public-private partnerships, or a related field.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven experience leading research and analysis projects that inform investment or expansion decisions.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong research skills and ability to rapidly synthesize large amounts of information into actionable business strategies </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience with RFP development, proposal writing, and/or competitive submissions</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling materials for senior leaders and external audiences</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to manage multiple complex projects, workstreams and deadlines simultaneously</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">High EQ; able to detect subtext and translate it into actionable insights that drive decisionmaking </span></li>
