As the leading, privately held U.S. manufacturer of innovative high-performance flexible circuit boards, we are dedicated to the design, production, and assembly of advanced printed circuit board assembly (PCBAs) technology solutions.   We develop cutting-edge solutions that explore new frontiers, serve and protect our armed forces and allies, safeguard national security against evolving threats, and propel advancements in hypersonic technology.   Our customers include some of the largest aerospace and defense companies like RTX, Lockheed Martin, GE Aerospace, NASA, JPL, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing. </div>About the Opportunity The Cross-Section Prep Operator receives test strips and prepares microsection coupons for the Cross-Section Operator to evaluate.  The position ensures that all jobs are processed in accordance with Team Leader direction, Traveler information and Standard Operating Procedures.  What You'll Do: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Reads and interprets work instructions on the traveler to verify coupon quantity and specifications for each microsection  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Visually inspects coupons and ensures proper serialization before removing the microsection samples </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Cuts the incoming test strips based on traveler specifications  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Inserts positioning pins in coupons and places the microsections into mold  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Operates oven according to SOP or Traveler </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Prepares acrylic and epoxy   </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Grinds, polishes and washes the microsection according to the SOP  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Performs other duties as needed  </li> </ul> What You'll Bring: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedure, instructions and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to understand and follow all safety codes and requirements. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be detailed oriented and self-motivate </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent attendance and punctuality  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to work overtime as required  </li> </ul> Education and Experience: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;" data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="24" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;" data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="24" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="1">Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing experience is preferred</li> </ul> Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds; as well as repetitive hand and finger motion. This role works in a chemical manufacturing environment.
