Opens crates with crowbar.&nbsp; Breaks down empty crates for disposal&nbsp;</li> <li>Picks parts from preprinted pick lists and issues slips. Contacts planner and/or supervisor if shortage occurs.&nbsp; Uses Tablet &amp; scanner for all warehouse transactions.</li> <li>Responsible to constantly monitor the Material Request Que and deliver components to the proper production worker.</li> <li>Operates Tablet, computer, scanner and material handling equipment including forklifts, electrical hand trucks, pallet jacks and stepladder to reach material. Uses crowbar and mallet for crates.&nbsp; Must have all necessary certifications for use of material handling equipment.</li> <li>Carries out proper verification methods as part of the cycle count program.</li> <li>Responsible for filling, Kan-Ban and bread box systems etc. throughout the Facility.</li> <li>Frequently moves average weight materials (over 5 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.) as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.</li> <li>Maintains electric truck and fork truck in good operating condition. Maintains prescribed water level in batteries and plugs in for overnight re-charge.</li> <li>Maintains necessary records. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.&nbsp; Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as required or directed.</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #007635;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers; use of schedules, computer scanning devices and skin wrapping machine; use of material handling equipment; where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.</li> <li>Over 1 year up to and including 3 years’ experience.</li> <li>High school diploma or GED</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #007635;"><strong>Work Environment</strong></span></p> <p>The Material Handler will work in a production environment where safety equipment or personal protective gear is required.
