<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Senior Accountant</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Senior Accountant is responsible for many aspects of financial reporting and will work directly with the Assistant Controller to develop new processes and procedures.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Initiate and post journal entries, prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, and research & resolve issues as needed</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for one or more regional offices, including performing variance analysis</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Research accounting guidance and prepare memos</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist in development of new processes and procedures to improve month end close and financial reporting, and improve coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency and utilization of available tools, including newly implemented ERP</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Analyze expenses and assist in budget preparation</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Prepare audit related requests and other duties as assigned</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Education & Experience</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree. Preference in Accounting or Finance</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Multifamily property accounting experience preferred</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Deep understanding of financial concepts</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven organizational skills with attention to detail</span></li>

This compensation range is specific to the State of California and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role. A reasonable estimate of the range is below.</p></div><div class="title">California Pay Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$65,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$95,000 USD</span></div></div></div>
