ALH operates state-of-the-art facilities and programs to meet the evolving needs of clinical research and overall patient treatment.  </div>Job Summary: Arizona Liver Health and is looking for qualified candidates for their Clinic APP position in Tucson, AZ. Successful candidates are Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who have previous experience with gastroenterology (GI) and/or hepatology. The Clinic APP plays a crucial role in driving and expanding the organization's ability to provide innovative patient care for those affected by liver disease. <hr> Title: Clinic Advanced Practice Provider APP (Tucson) Status: Full-time, Exempt (Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) Salary: $110,000 - $155,000 per year; depending on experience Please note: the top of the salary range is reserved for highly experienced APPs with proven specialty experience in Hepatology and Gastroenterology. <hr> Essential job functions/duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. <ul> <li>Responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care patients as well clinical research patients </li> <li>Educating patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite </li> <li>Performs specialized procedure(s) and works with MD on patient diagnosis </li> <li>Counseling patients and their families, as well as collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants or nurse practitioners </li> <li>Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients</li> </ul> <hr> Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required <ul> <li>Proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive as well as practice’s EMR system (eCW) </li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li> <li>Strong ability to identify issues with “quietly unhappy” patients </li> <li>Refers patients appropriately </li> <li>Demonstrates awareness of quality-of-care metrics and regularly meets them </li> <li>Solid interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with peers, coworker, and patients  </li> <li>Solid interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with peers, coworker, and patients  </li> <li>Ability to provide patient care with minimal supervision </li> <li>Ability to perform in-clinic procedures (such as fibroscans) independently </li> <li>Autonomous in call-rotation </li> <li>Ability to diagnose and make treatment decisions for patients </li> <li>At least one (1) year experience working in a clinic or hospital setting as an NP or PA, 3+ years experience preferred</li> </ul> Additional Preferred Qualifications:  <ul> <li>Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) </li> <li>Ability to problem solve with systems and processes </li> <li>Leadership skills </li> <li>Commitment to earning additional certifications/professional titles outside scope of work </li> <li>Ability to resourceful and consults resources before asking others for instruction </li> <li>Previous outpatient hepatology/gastroenterology experience as an NP or a PA preferred </li> <li>Experience in completing fibroscans for patients preferred </li> </ul> <hr> Education and/or credentials and trainings required <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institution </li> <li>Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with current RN and NP License required</li> <li>Graduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)</li> <li>Active license to practice in Arizona</li> <li>Must maintain certifications as required by department or division</li> <li>Completion of GCP and IATA trainings at hire.</li> </ul> <hr> Benefits & Perks: <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision (with HSA plans and employer contribution)</li> <li>4 weeks PTO</li> <li>Continuing Medical Education budget (CME) and time off</li> <li>5 days Sick Time</li> <li>7 Company Paid Holidays + 2 Half-Days</li> <li>401K with up to 6% company match (eligible to enroll after 90 days)</li> <li>Short & Long Term Disability</li> <li>Educational Assistance</li> </ul> Interview Process: <ul> <li>30-min Initial Call with Internal Talent Partner (Recruiter)</li> <li>30-min video interview with Hiring Manager</li> <li>2-hour onsite interview to tour the clinic, shadow clinic, and meet Founder</li> <li>Reference Check / Hiring Decision / Offer Approximately 2 weeks</li> </ul> Work authorization <ul> <li>Must have valid documentation and authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer </li> </ul> <hr> EEO statement It is the policy of the Institute for Liver Health DBA Arizona Liver Health and Arizona Clinical Trials to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
